Ringwood Carnival 2026
We really love taking part in Ringwood Carnival and will be at the afternoon procession for many years to come. We have decided on safety grounds to no longer take part in the evening procession so this was a special one.

Our morning,
5.15am peddling our e bikes to the field.
5.30am cattle in the gloom as the sun starts to rise, and sons turn up.
6am, lorry arrives, husband and sons load cattle.
6.25am lorry leaves for Salisbury Market as the sun is finally up.
7.30am after breakfast checking the electric fence along the river and counting the remaining cattle.

Harrowing in turnip seed with Uther, Paddy and 8, Bedford Plough Co, No 1 light seed harrows, covering 18 feet.
Robert sowed wild bird seed mix twice on this 5 acres, it failed both times, in the dry even weeds didn’t grow!
He has now sown turnip seed as ground cover.

We are looking after our son Tom’s sheep dog Blink while he is away and we checked the sheep with Blink’s help this evening.
We have no idea of the commands, except away and lie down Blink, so left it all to him. He is amazing, thanks to his wonderful trainer Rob Moore.
