Ellingham Open Water Swim

Our final swim session this year will be on Monday 21st September. We are all planning to head to Ringwood afterwards for dinner and drinks at Arboro lounge https://thelounges.co.uk/arboro/

It’s been a fantastic season and we love running the swim sessions for you all, the best group of open water swimmers in the country!

Arboro Lounge is an informal, neighbourhood food led café/bar located in Ringwood - open all day every day!

This Wednesday will be our last one of the season - but we are still open on Monday and Saturday until the end of the month 😊

A reminder lessons resume this week. If you have already signed up for the course or booked in all good- but I do have a few spaces. Beginners starts at 5.30 and intermediate 6.20. £12 per session. If you want to join the rest of the block please pay the £36 at Mondays session. Drop me a DM if you want to grab the last few spaces.

Please note the A31 is still closed which may impact those coming to swim later. There are alternative routes but you may need to allow more time. There is flexibility on arrival time so please don’t worry if you arrive after your booked time.

A few spaces left for the next block of coaching. Message if interested in beginners or intermediate. Monday evenings.

Beginner 5.30pm : about confidence and comfort. Controlling breathing, swimming around others, basic sighting.

Intermediate 6.20pm : about technique and speed. Sighting without breaking stroke, pack swimming/drafting, sharp buoy turns, holding race pace.

Coaching
Our next 4 week block of coached sessions with Will starts on Monday and will be on the following 4 dates:

3rd, 17th, 24th and 31st August (tbc)

We are running two sessions
5.30 - beginners
6.20 - intermediate

The block of 4 is £40 payable in advance or you can drop in which is £12 a session.

Tomorrow is our gin, burgers and swim evening. Our coached session is still running at 6pm and we will keep the site open until 8.30pm so you have time to enjoy the food and drinks post swim (swim times remain the same 5.30-7.30pm)

We are getting busier as the weather improves so please park sensibly in the car park and when in the water sight more regularly and be courteous to other swimmers.

The water is currently 24 degrees and the outside temp will be 30-31 when we open later. If you have wanted to try without a wetsuit I would suggest today is the day as it will be very hot in one!
