Rochdale Squash Academy

The inaugural Darren Lee Ogden Memorial PSA was a huge success. We had professional players players from Korea 🇰🇷, Australia 🇦🇺, Uganda 🇺🇬 and closer to home pro players Wales and England competing as well as local homegrown talent.

Here’s next seasons first team in action during the event.. George Bailey, Ian Rukunya, Mike Alexander, and our two new signings pro players David Turner and Chester Dockray.

From Korea 🇰🇷 to Rochdale

Players are starting to arrive for our professional Squash tournament. The Darren Lee Ogden Memorial starts tomorrow from 5pm.

5/8 seed Jaejin Yoo has made the journey and is preparing to do battle ⚔️. He’ll be taking on ‘s Ben Hetherington at 5pm.

We’re excited to be hosting players from all around the world. Come and show your support, it’s free to watch!

Our beginner junior beginner squash sessions have started at Rochdale CLS Club. 6 weeks course includes a free racket, goggles & ball.. every Saturday morning 10am, it’s not too late to sign up!

Lancashire County Championships 🌹

We had a fantastic time hosting this event at Rochdale Sports Club, with entries in each age group up to Over 60’s. Big thanks to everyone involved.

We hope to build on the success of this year’s event and aim to include as many entries as possible over the Men’s and Women’s categories next year. So get involved, same time and place!

Welcome to the team

George is a great character to have around the Squash club. Improving his own Squash rapidly and playing team squash on Thursday nights, he’s always available to offer a few words of encouragement when needed!

George has been an elite level GB rower and as well as helping out at our Beginner Junior sessions, he will also be bringing his fitness training skills to the team to improve our more advanced players.

George has recently completed his Level 1 Participation Coach Award and currently runs our Bronze Squad on Friday evenings 6pm alongside our Level 2 coach, Adam

Congratulations to Ethan Ball who finished Runner up in the U17s Aspire North West Closed after a brilliant tournament this weekend. A great achievement making it to the final 👏
