Well done Rochdale/Sheffield - what a way to end the season, rounded off in style with an impressive 11–8 victory over Wilmslow! It was a strong team performance today with every player contributing for the well-earned win. 💙 Defensively, you were solid throughout, with excellent work from Luca, Tyler, Freddie and Lucas. You consistently disrupted Wilmslow’s attacks and helped maintain control. In midfield and attack, Will, Harry, Logan, Tom and Zahran worked tirelessly, linking play effectively and creating scoring opportunities. Goals came from Logan, Tom and Zahran, reflecting the attacking unit’s persistence and teamwork (even though three of you did get sent off at the same time...).
Rory, in goal, also made a key contribution, pulling off several important saves and even making a couple of ambitious runs upfield, coming close to getting on the scoresheet himself. It was also a notable match for Jules, who made a strong first appearance and showed great determination with some important defensive work.
Congratulations to the Players' Player awards which went to Tom, Freddie and Rory for your hard work and determination. Overall, it was a fitting end to the season, as a team you worked hard with each other and played with real cohesion. Special thanks goes to the Sheffield boys for joining the squad this season and contributing to the team’s success - it’s been great getting to know you all and having you as part of our team🥍 Lastly, thanks to Jonny for coaching our U14 team brilliantly!
We missed Ava and Dylan today but well done Rochdale/Sheffield, what a great season 💙🥍💪

The last match of the season for our U12s and everyone played so well. When we look back at last season we can see how much everyone has improved and progressed to the next level. Everyone has played a part in that and you should all be proud of yourselves. We're looking forward to the next season and seeing how we progress further. Congratulations to our goalscorers Will (4), Deisel and Sophia. Well done to our player of the match, Sultan. Don't forget training will continue even though the season has finished 🤗

Well done Rochdale/Sheff! You delivered an excellent performance today against Cheadle Hulme. Despite a 13–9 defeat, you all showed real quality and teamwork throughout the match. Both sides were evenly matched for the first three quarters, with you staying right in contention thanks to some brilliant passing and well-worked assists across the pitch. It was an enjoyable game to watch 💙
Defensively, Tyler, Freddie and Ava put in a strong and determined effort, working tirelessly to disrupt the opposition and regain possession. In attack, Zahran, Tom, Logan, Harry and Will created plenty of opportunities, moving the ball with confidence and purpose. The team’s goals came from Logan, Tom and Zahran, each finishing well after some excellent build-up play. Rory had an outstanding game in goal, making a number of crucial saves to keep Rochdale in the contest and earning a well-deserved Player of the Match award, well done! Tom was recognised by his teammates as Players’ Player for his impact in attack and all-round contribution.
Overall, it was great to see the team playing so well together, showing strong teamwork, skill and determination throughout. Again, well done Rochdale/Sheff 💪💙🥍 Thanks as always to Jonny for coaching and to the refs. Onto our last game of the season at home against Wilmslow nextcqeek, let’s do this team 💪💙

14/03/2026

Congratulations, Rochdale/Sheff U14s on your victory today! Everyone put in a strong performance today, securing a convincing 14–4 victory against Cheadle/Heaton Mersey in what proved to be a very competitive and physical match.
Despite the game becoming tough and at times quite rough, everyone showed great determination and composure maintaining control throughout. As a team, we worked hard across the pitch, supporting each other in attack, defence and midfield. In attack, Tom, Logan and Will worked tirelessly, constantly applying pressure to the Cheadle/HM defence and creating scoring opportunities. Goals came from Logan, Zahran, Tom and Will, with the attacking unit combining well to keep the pressure on Cheadle/HM’s defence. Zahran was particularly influential in attack, helping to drive the scoring momentum with six goals, earning him POTM, congratulations! In goal, Zahran, Rory and Ava stepped up during the match. Rory also made a couple of impressive runs out from the goalie position, pushing forward and nearly getting his name on the scoresheet which earned him the Players' Player, well done! Ava showed perseverance and great bravery throughout the game and stepped up to go in goal. At the face-offs, both Tyler and Zahran worked hard to win possession and give Rochdale the advantage in midfield. In defence, Harry, Lucas and Freddie were solid throughout, working together to shut down Cheadle/HM’s attacks and protect the goal with some great bodying and checks. Overall, it was a great team performance from you all showing resilience, teamwork and determination to secure a well-earned win - it was a great match to watch. Thanks to Jonny for coaching and Pete for reffing.
