Our U8 Eagles had a great day yesterday, winning the NBJFL Orange Cup final. 🏆🏆
Coaches Matt and Rick couldn’t be prouder of the team.
“I'm literally lost for words.... MILNROW EAGLES U8 CHAMPIONS.... What a phenomenal game we played today. Every boy contributed to our victory with Joe saving some of his best for today and scoring all 3 of our goals.. Jacob making some incredible saves to keep us in the game. Every single boy played their part. We drew 3-3 and Jacob making an incredible save to win on penalties.
Job done super Eagles

Well done Eagles 😊🦅⚫️🔴⚽️🏆

Also at home were our U10 Eagles and Coach Dave thought it was a great game.
“Home game against Pennine Juniors today—what a match!
We went a goal down early on, and it felt like one of those days where the ball just wouldn’t go in. Must’ve hit the woodwork about five times!
But second half, we came alive and completely turned it around and won the game.
Goals came from Louie and Astin.
Big shoutout to Astin for a brilliant performance and well-deserved Man of the Match—absolutely superb down the left wing all game.
on to the next.”
Well done Eagles and Astin 😊🦅⚫️🔴⚽️

Our U13 Jaguars were also at home yesterday and it sounds like they had a great game with Coach Neil having this to say:
“Jaguars 7 - 0 Radcliffe
Massive win for us today considering we only had 12 players and we were missing some key defenders. So with a makeshift team and players playing out of position, it was great to see the team really pull together and work hard and help each other out.
Attitude was great and work rate was great which is all we ever ask of the players and it was nice to see today. With goals coming from
Marcus x2
Charlie x2
Mason x1
Lucas r x1
Lucas b x1
Honorable mentions to Kaylan in net for some superb saves and keeping a clean sheet.
Aahil for his work rate and commitment all game.
Josh for playing in defence (out of position) and staying disciplined
But man of the match was Lucas b for keeping his head not letting little things frustrate him which in return he played outstanding, making runs taking players on and beating them and even getting on the score sheet”
Well done Jaguars and Lucas 😊🐆⚫️🔴⚽️

Our U7 Sharks won their game at home yesterday and Coach Lee is pleased with how the team is playing after only a few weeks together.
“We have gone from shivering legs and ‘too cold to play’ to ‘its far too hot’ and ‘I’m too tired’ in the space of 3 weeks, but the lads played their hearts out, scored some great goals and are really starting to bond as a team, its great to see.
Toby was player of the match bagging himself a few goals and really listened when asked to defend and help the team.
Well done boys, onto next week.”
Well done Toby and well done Sharks 😊🦈⚫️🔴⚽️

Our U7 Sharks were away from home this morning, they only had a bare 5 players but Coach Lee was happy with the effort they put in.
“U7 Sharks lost today. We started well going and were in the lead for a while before drawing at half time, but our first experience of playing on a bigger grass pitch took its toll as we only had 5 players. The team tried their hardest but fatigue kicked in towards the end. Toby scored all of our goals which was brilliant but the player of the match went to Benjamin whose effort and determination in defending kept the score down to single figures.”
Well done Benjamin and the Sharks 😊🦈⚫️🔴⚽️

Our U13 Sharks were away this morning and it sounds like a difficult game with Coach Dave saying…
“U13s Uppermill whites 6 v 0 MJ Sharks.
Theo was voted today’s POM by the opposition in a 6-0 defeat to 3rd in the league.
Sharks had a bare 11 players again and no keeper so it was always going to be difficult.
We were 4-0 down inside 20mins and managed to get to HT at that scoreline where we changed formation to more a defensive one.
5 mins into the 2nd half we lost another player and had to see the game out with 10 players. We kept them out for majority of the 2nd half and the only 2 goals they scored came directly from our mistakes which has been a consistent issue of ours all season, far too many mistakes leading to goals.
Final score was a well deserved 6-0 win for Uppermill.”
Well done Theo and keep your heads up Sharks 😊🦈⚫️🔴⚽️

Our U12 Eagles were at home to Whitworth Valley this morning and Coach Rebecca couldn’t be happier with how the whole team played.
“Eagles v Whitworth Valley U12s
Final score: 0–0 ⚽️
An outstanding performance from the team today, with all of them getting the Player of the Match award.
Starting with just 8 players and heading into the second half with a full squad and no substitutes the lads showed incredible determination.
They played fantastic football, working together with real unity and teamwork. Strong on the ball, never giving up, and supporting each other throughout.
Today was one of those matches where very little guidance was needed, the boys read the game brilliantly and showed great initiative. It was a joy to watch, with every player giving their all and playing with confidence and smiles all around.
A special mention to our goalkeeper for a solid clean sheet in a game that certainly tested him 👏
George P for wholeheartedly giving his all
James for Improvement to staying on the ball at all times and never giving up
Charlie for stepping up in team talks and working with me to set the team placements up.
Ismael showing real workmanship.
Ibby for always bringing a smile and tireless attitude.
Louie for effort and motivation keeping up with the team.
William for incredible defending and working hard.
Mo for showing up and helping on the wings.
Excited for what the next few games bring—keep it going!
Well done, boys!
Up the Eagles! 🦅”
Well done Eagles, sounds like a great game 😊🦅⚫️🔴⚽️

Our U10 Lions were away at Radcliffe Rattlers this morning and Coach Max didn’t have much to say about the game 😂
“We played on a very tiny 5 aside pitch this morning which unfortunately didn’t give us the space to play to our strengths.
The game became very scrappy and ended in a draw and in all honesty I was glad when it was over 😂😂
Player of the match went to Fred - one of his goals was a free kick from 25 yards which was about the length of the pitch 💪
UP THE LIONS🦁💙”
Well done Lions and Fred 😊🦁⚫️🔴⚽️
