Our statement issued today (22 July 2024) confirming we're taking a break this year 👇
Rochdale Half Marathon, 10K and Fun Run takes year off – Rochdale Borough Council Organisers of Rochdale Half Marathon, 10K and Fun Run have announced the event won’t be taking place this year.

⚠️ We're sorry to say this event won't be taking place this year (2024) while a review is undertaken. The past 4 years have been challenging and we need time to thoroughly review and plan how these races could look in the future. We need to carefully consider our options, make some changes and appoint a new race director. We'll update everyone on our plans later this year here, and at www.rochdale.gov.uk/run

“This is a great event to be involved with, bringing such a buzz to the area. It’s going to be amazing next year when the town hall is fully re-opened and we have full use of the square again. I thank the public for their co-operation during the disruption caused by the road closures. This event was made possible by the support of many local people. I want to thank our marshals and the volunteers for looking after the water stations, Hopwood Hall College & University Centre, the Handmade Samba Band who played around the lake, Littleborough Runners , the Ladies Circle and Littleborough Boxing Club” 👏
- Councillor Janet Emsley, deputy leader of Rochdale Borough Council who took part in the fun run to raise money for WHAG the domestic abuse charity
