I saw this on a page over the weekend and it resonated with me and all of the clients who say they can't cry. I think that's ok, it doesn't mean you don't still feel it 💗

I'm having a decluttering week! Some of the stuff I've found is hilarious and I have no idea why I kept it, and some stuff I thought I'd lost but have found it again.
It's amazing what we keep or just put somewhere to deal with another day, and what's even more amazing is how many people (including me!) feel more chaotic mentally if our physical space is also chaotic.
If you're struggling to declutter just try the 2 minute rule. If it takes 2 minutes it's worth doing it then and there. Or challenge yourself - "what can I tidy / clean / sort whilst the kettle is boiling"

Loving this! It’s so important to be aware of ourselves and how we’re feeling. It doesn’t always need to be negative but sometimes a little break can be so restorative both physically and mentally.

NEW! I have opened up new spaces on a Monday for online or telephone counselling sessions. If you’re looking for some support this year or know someone who is looking please do contact me before spaces get booked up

Try something for 5-10 minutes. Any change to what you're doing can really help

Take time for yourself, a new year doesn't need to be a new start. It can be figuring out things for yourself and what you truly want, perhaps being grateful for what you already have.
If therapy is part of your future I have limited spaces for new clients. Please DM me or email me on [email protected]

I'm finishing today and taking a break over Christmas and New Year, returning to work on the 4th January. It can be a tough time of year with a lot of pressure to 'be fine'. If you're not, please talk to someone.

The Christmas season can be tough for many reasons. If you're struggling, please share it with someone, even if there is no obvious solution. Sometimes just getting things said and off your chest can ease it for a little while.
I have spaces for therapy sessions either via video or in person starting in January. Please message me for more information.

Love this little image and explanation. I wish I could credit it to whoever put it together.

Saw this earlier and thought it was so thought provoking. Often people want to 'fix' our emotions so we just feel better, sometimes, we just need to work through them

I attended an online training course on Monday which was fantastic! (Thank you Jo Grace and The Link Centre). This quote was mentioned and it felt so important that I needed to share it. Hopefully the work we do as therapists is to become that empathic witness for you and to help you process your trauma

I had some time off last week and explored some new places in the UK. Even in the cold and wet I find it so beneficial to get out into nature, finding new things to interest me and blow any cobwebs away.
Storm Cieran may be putting getting outside on hold (more important to stay safe!) but remember to find time for yourself and find things to excite you in the day to day.
