🦁 LIONS SN**CH DRAMATIC LATE EQUALISER AT BREDHURST!
FT: Bredhurst Juniors 3-3 Real 60 Lions
Real 60 created multiple chances in the opening half hour but couldn't find the breakthrough - until the 35th minute. A throw from Max S deep in his own half found Luca, who took it down and played a perfectly weighted through ball for Leo to chase. He showed blistering pace to beat the defenders, won a challenge with the keeper who had rushed outside his box and calmly side-footed into the empty net. 1-0.
A minute before half time, a harsh handball decision gifted Bredhurst a free kick. Real 60 failed to clear and it was bundled in. 1-1 at the break.
The Lions retook the lead on 50 minutes in style a George picked the ball up in the Bredhurst half and threaded a pinpoint through ball for Luca, arriving into the box from the left, who hit it first time into the bottom corner. 2-1.
Six minutes later, poor defending allowed Bredhurst back in to make it 2-2, and with 12 minutes left a very soft penalty decision went against Henry, handing Bredhurst the lead. 3-2 - it felt like the points were gone.
But deep into stoppage time, Real 60 won a free kick in the Bredhurst half. Max F floated it in, it was cleared and George Davis met it with a thunderous long-range volley. Blocked. Luca was first to react and smashed home the equaliser. Absolute scenes.
A point that felt like three - especially after some baffling decisions from the referee.
Real character shown by the Lions at the end 🦁
🎯 Goals from: Leo, Luca x2
🌟 MOTM: Luca - Two goals, an assist and a constant threat down the left throughout. Composed finish for the second, then the instinct to be first to react and smash home the late equaliser.
