Havering Miniature Railway Club Trains run 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month Apr-Oct. We are a volunteer group committed to operating the 7 1/4" gauge railway in Lodge Farm Park, Romford.

All money taken going towards the running costs of the club, We are a social club running and maintaining the 7 1/4" gauge railway in Lodge Farm Park. Thanks to the support of the Friends of the park and the support of Havering Council we now are able to offer rides nearly half a mile long.

It's that time of year again. For one day only, Santa is coming back to Lodge Farm Park, and lucky ticket holders will get to ride a train right into his grotto, receive a gift bag, and a mince pie or cake.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, 30th October at 7pm.

Children 2 years and under can travel on an adult's lap. Tickets are for a timed slot so please make sure you are available for that time as there may not be space to allow you in another slot.

Today’s the day!
Our “Anything Goes” running day at Lodge Farm Park Miniature Railway.

It’s our final public running day of the season, and we’ll be getting as much of the fleet out as we can throughout the day. It’s a great chance to ride behind some of our less frequently seen locomotives and travel in some of the carriages that don’t normally appear on public running days.

Trains are running from 11am to 4pm at Lodge Farm Park, Romford.

Standard train rides are £2.50 per person, with tickets available on the day from the station.

If you’ve been meaning to visit us this year, today is your last chance before we finish public running for the season.

Come along and see what turns up, anything goes!

A bit of a special one at Lodge Farm Park Miniature Railway this Sunday, as it’s our last public running day of the year.

We’re calling it our “Anything Goes” day, and the plan is to get as many of our locomotives and different bits of rolling stock out as we can throughout the day. It should be a great chance to see some of the trains that don’t normally make an appearance on public running days.

We’ll also be offering a very rare opportunity to ride as a passenger inside our Glasgow Tram. It doesn’t come out very often and there are now only a few booking slots left for tram rides.

All of our other train rides will be running throughout the day as normal at £2.50 per person, so you don’t need to book just to come along and enjoy the railway.

ANYTHING GOES

To celebrate our last running day of the season, we will try and get all our trains out at some point during the day. This will include the works train and some locos that rarely come out.

Glasgow tram will be giving limited rides (8) - tickets via our online ticket shop for £5.
Will also have odd tickets - as Anything Goes.

For those that couldn't make it or didn't fancy carrying around jars of Honey, the stall on Sunday was SW's Wild and Pure Honey. The tag line is Real honey isn't cheap and cheap honey isn't real. If you have tasted his Essex honey they you will know.

An EU‑wide forensic investigation found 46% of honey samples were adulterated, with China providing the highest absolute number of suspicious consignments (74%).

UK supermarket tests (2018–2024) repeatedly found that most imported blended honey was not authentic, with China being the largest source of these imports.

Sean is no stranger to the club as a ground worker he dug the new track alignment through the ivy tunnel, put in a water main, cast the concrete slab under the carriage shed and put in the sewage pump round the back of the club hut.
We are also hoping he will come in and level the ground so this year Santa will have a bigger grotto.
