Yesterday the ladies travelled to Pride Park FC in Derby for their first preseason friendly on a hot Sunday afternoon.
A few new faces in the squad today and the first game since April for the ladies. Yesterday was about getting momentum and starting the gel together as a team with the new additions as well as working on the things we’ve been looking at in training.
A lot of positives to take from the game today to help develop the team further and areas to focus on in training. We regroup together at training on Tuesday before next Sunday where we travel to Stocksbridge Park Steels for our next preseason friendly.
Player of the Match - Lacey
Lacey’s work rate yesterday, playing in different positions across defence and midfield, especially in the heat and in her first open age game gave her a well earned Player of the Match.
Donkey of the Game - Ebony
There was only one contender for Donkey of the Game today and that was Ebony, several trips to the car and odd sized boots she finally was prepared for the game!
Millmoor Ladies are looking for a friendly on Sunday (19th July). Must be away due to pitch renovations.
