We've been quiet here lately as JD Coaching has been hugely busy!
Heidi and Henry have been attending for over a month and getting closer on the JD Coaching hit the camera challenge!
Heidi was close
Henry was an inch away
Coach James finally made it!
A fun ending to a hard working session!

A technical session working on the first touch of a striker to be sharp and create an opportunity to finish!
This is towards the end of the session when we've already worked on the finer details, and putting it all together into the finished product!

The rain didn't stop these 2 superstars this week!
Learning colour identification whilst having the ball at their feet. We've learnt close control and finished with passing and shooting.
None stop smiles and laughter from these two!

At JD Coaching at the end of each session we do the 'JD Coaching hit the camera challenge!'
Below is Jamie's first attempt, with some room for improvement! This can be done from any and all distances to work on pass accuracy
Anyone can do it, all you need is a ball and a camera!

A family affair!
This week Romeo and Archie, who are cousins, have joined JD Coaching to begin their footballing journey!
Being 3 years old, we did a short session teaching the very basics of ball control, what part of the foot to use and how to keep the ball under our control
We stopped using our hands when we wanted to move the football, and played some fun games with colour identification of cones
They then finished with scoring a goal! The best bit about football!

Session 1 with Jamie under the belt
Jamie plays for a mid level Sunday league side, who are being moved into the top leagues this coming season, as a striker.
This means attention to details is key in our sessions. Helping Jamie not just making him a good player, but helping him understand what it is I'm asking from him to make him better
We've worked on receiving the ball with back to goal, movements to create space with back to goal, secondary phases after releasing a ball to get turned to face the goal.
Today was Week 1 of a 6 week plan to help Jamie specifically with his position which he plays in on a Sunday, a more tailored and specific session just for him
