Overseas for the Season

We are delighted to announce that we have successfully re-signed Orminder Singh as our overseas cricketer for the upcoming season!
Orminder enjoyed a stellar campaign with us during the 2023 season, and we are thrilled we have secured his services again for the upcoming campaign.
This is a fantastic addition, and we're looking forward to the skill, experience, and energy he will bring to our team.

We are delighted to introduce our new team captains for next season!

👉 First Team Captain: Hussnain Hussain
👉 Second Team Captain: Basharat Ali

Both of these dedicated players have already demonstrated incredible leadership qualities during their time with the club, and we are confident they will help take our club to new heights this season.

They have both already been very busy building and shaping their squads for next season, so stay tuned for some more announcements soon!

Obviously, these new appointments follow Arslan and Cam's decisions to step down as captains at the end of last season and we would like to place on record our huge thanks to both for their hard work and dedication in the roles 👏

🏏 Join RTCC as a club umpire for the 2025 season 🏏

Are you passionate about cricket? Looking for a great way to spend your free time during the summer while earning some money?
We are looking to recruit some club umpires for the 2025 season beginning next April.
An umpire is paid £45+ per game and is also provided with a free tea. RTCC will cover all your course costs for training if required.

Great day for the club on Saturday with both senior sides victorious to complete a Town double 🥃🥃
The first team won a thrilling game at Warmsworth. After being set 216 for victory by the hosts, we reached our target in the last over with 2 wickets to spare. Shoaib Yasin with the winning runs.
The first team are currently occupying third place and firmly in the hunt for promotion with 3 games to go 🤞🤞 Keep it going lads!!

Our second team's win was relatively more straightforward in comparison against Darfield 2's. Our visitors were skittled out for 76 and we completed victory in 13.1 overs for the loss of just one wicket. Murad Rasheed with 5-17 and 49* to cap a fine all round performance 👏.

Both teams out looking to build on last week's excellent Town double this afternoon.
The first team go out looking to keep their promotion push going as we host Aston Hall at the Lane.
Whilst our seconds face a tough test away at promotion chasing Barnby Dun but we
enter the game in great form after 3 wins on the bounce.

107 runs and 2 wickets, not a bad day's work for second team player Murad Rasheed yesterday! 🙌
His magnificent century, admirably supported by Shahid's 47 and Shadab's quickfire 31*, enabled us to post 238 against Wickersley. Before we bowled our visitors out for 72 to complete a big 166 run win. Shadab with yet another 5fer to set us on our way to victory.

Not quite as good day for our first team who fell to a 7 wicket defeat at Tickhill after we were bowled out for 140.
Nevertheless, we still remain firmly in the promotion race going into the final stretch of the season so will be looking to bounce back strongly in the next few games
