Just be aware that Thrybergh reservoir is currently having blue green algae issues, be careful with your dogs and wash anything down sensibly if it has been in contact with the water, please do not cross contaminate to other bodies of water.

Currently fishing in Northern Carolina for brook trout, if you do you need a fresh water permit from the local store which is currently about 21 dollars, if you sea fish that is a separate permit so be careful as they do have game wardens in the US

Anyone wanting to fish at Thrybergh country park pay at the ticket machine, prices and times are displayed and you can pay by card, any complaints about costs, fishing or facilities contact RMBC not the fishing club as we do not run the fishery.

Looking for an alternative fishing venue this weekend, the club has visited Carsington water on a number of occasions, well kept fishery with boats, worth a visit, also nearby camping and caravan sites, check out there pages.

Sorry the posts have been few over the last year fishing has been quiet, currently in Ullapool Scotland, camping & caravan site, the local area is known for its po***ck and sea trout, brought a Greys fly rod and Abu Garcia spinning rod, just in case.

Just to keep people informed the council have renewed the footpath around the resevoir, the casting platform has also been made good although the access ramp needs a good cut back, day tickets have been reduced to £6.70 including parking.

The trouble with our rivers, interesting program on our contaminated rivers, well worth a watch, I will be looking at our rivers in a different light in future, also we are all responsible on what we flush down our drains.

Thinking of an alternative fishing holiday Iceland’s fishing season is from the end of April to the end of September, found this lovely fishing shop which also does guided tours from Reykjavik.
