Rotherham Schools Select U10’s 25/26 Season

Not often a full squad is available for a match day so it was nice to see them all together yesterday to play a game against a Hull Boys team. Scorers today:

Last week the boys played Barnsley away and played some lovely stuff all morning. Scorers last week:

Lads were excellent this morning in a 9v9 fixture against Wakefield Boys at Frickley Athletic Astro.
The boys got off to a fast start and the high tempo was mostly maintained. Great build up play with lots of crosses and ruthless finishing 👌

MOM - Wazza who was lively all morning

RSB U10’s F had a round robin event this morning with Barnsley School Boys and Dearne & District. Loads of football for all the lads from all 3 teams combined with lots of effort and commitment in tough conditions 👌

Today’s Capt was AR in celebration and recognition of his learning practice during Ramadan 🙌

MOM for the day went to Mase with resilient and strong performances across both games.

Rotherham School Boys U10’s F played 2 tight contests over the last 2 weekends against Wakefield School Boys and Doncaster School Boys respectively.

Both games showed lads from all 3 teams representing their associations with quality and battling out close matches ⚽️✅

RSB U10 1st played Yorkshire RTC in a 9v9 fixture this morning. With a few games cancelled recently it was a good 90 mins run out for the lads. Elliot deserving of earning MOM with some positive wing play and 5 assists 👌

The lads played Barnsley Boys Away today in a 9v9 fixture. It was a good run out for all the boys to blow the cobwebs off. Shout out to Parks, Jude and Eddie playing up all putting in solid performances with Eddie gettting joint MOM with Issac - well done lads.

The two sides played a highly competitive friendly at Phoenix Sports Ground on Saturday. Both teams and individuals competed to win their battles all over the pitch.

Testing, windy conditions didn’t allow free flowing football but some clever and clinical play in the final third led to positive outcomes.

School Boys U10’s F played East Riding Rangers from Hull this morning. The lads were asked to try different positions and try a few new things with varied formations. Loui in particular enjoyed himself coming out of GK to play striker for 20 mins and bagging a 🎩 trick! Goals:

Despite the tough conditions the lads played some good stuff this morning, particularly for 2 of the goals which were great passing combinations.

Our opponents made it hard work defending really well as a team until the final whistle.

Hull City Academy U10’s 3 - 2 RSB U10’s

Great effort from the lads this morning. Despite a few players missing the available squad competed brilliantly for 75 mins against Hull’s U10’s academy side.

At 2-0 down the boys fought hard to get it back to 2-2 and conceded right at the death. Lads were disappointed after but they should be proud of their efforts in what was a cracking game, evenly contested throughout and another great learning & development experience 👏
