Well… this happened today. 🏆🥹

The Pilates Collective is officially an award-winning business.

Eight months.

That’s all it’s been since we opened the doors in January, and today we won at the Lyme Regis Business Awards.

I’m ridiculously proud of what we’ve created in such a short space of time.

Launching The Pilates Collective was a massive step into the unknown. I’d built a business before, but somehow this felt completely different. A new studio, a new team, a new way of working and, if I’m honest, a lot of figuring things out as I went along.

There have been ups, there have been downs, ridiculously long days, stressful moments and plenty of times I’ve wondered what on earth I’d taken on.

I’ve worked incredibly hard to make this studio work, but what it has become is absolutely not down to me alone.

I have the most brilliant team of instructors who care just as much about the experience our clients have as I do. And then there are our clients — the people who took a chance on a brand-new studio, walked through our doors, came back, told their friends and helped us build the community we have today.

Without all of you, there simply wouldn’t be a Pilates Collective.

So this award feels like recognition of everything we’ve built together over the last eight months.

I’m incredibly grateful, incredibly proud… and maybe still a little bit shocked. 🥹

✨ WE’RE FINALISTS! ✨

I’m so excited to share that The Pilates Collective by Courtney Maunder has been named a finalist for New Business of the Year at the Lyme Regis Business Awards 2026! 🥂

Considering we only opened our doors in January, I’m genuinely so proud of how far the studio has come in such a short space of time.

What started as an idea to bring Reformer Pilates to our local area has grown into a wonderful community, and that is entirely down to every single person who has walked through our doors, booked a session, recommended us to a friend, shared a post or simply supported us along the way.

A huge thank you also has to go to our amazing team of instructors. The studio wouldn't be what it is without the care, knowledge and personality that each of you brings to your sessions. ❤️

Building a new business certainly comes with its challenges, so to have the studio recognised as a New Business of the Year finalist just eight months after opening really does mean a lot.

Whatever happens on awards day, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve created so far, and we’re only just getting started.

Please welcome the lovely Tillie to the team!

Tillie will already be well known to many of you locally through her own Pilates practice, Art House Pilates.

After spending the last nine months travelling around Australia 🇦🇺, she’s back — and we’re absolutely delighted that she’ll be joining us at the studio.

And even better… she’s bringing a new Monday evening session to the timetable!
