Well done to Clifton girls, Jessica and Mollie who were runners up, narrowly losing to the winners.
They still may get to play at Wimbledon though as runner’s up. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

What a week for our Clifton players.
Jessica and Mollie have had a very successful half term.
Jessica has played and won an 18U singles competition, a 14 and under doubles with Mollie and was runner up in 18U doubles with fellow Warks player Ava.
Mollie has also had a super week. Starting off with a 14U tournament singles win, she then had the doubles win with Jess and ended the week winning a 16U singles competition at Kenilworth.
In addition Jessica and William were invited to the Birmingham Classic at Edgbaston Priory as the guests of Warwickshire Tennis where they received special awards from Warwickshire LTA; Jessica for her contribution to the 12U county cup girls team and William for ‘dynamic doubles’ in the 18U county cup team.
Both Jessica and Mollie are coached individually by Brian Heathcote. He also still works with William who is now ranked no. 29 in the UK for under 16s.

This year’s ‘Play your way to Wimbledon’ event at Clifton was won by Lena with Amelia runner up. This pair played regularly in our ladies B team last year (the team that won the Rugby and District league!) but for the final they were opposite sides of the net! Lena now goes through to play at the county finals in June. The Warwickshire winner then goes through to play at Wimbledon in August. Both Lena and Amelia are coached by Brian Heathcote
