A very resilient, team performance from the under 9 Spartans this week. Lots of winter illness creeping in for some players who couldn't be there 🤒🤧 and the rest of them stepping up and rallying together in unfamiliar positions, switching every quarter and taking turns in goal . Well done boys!! ⚽🥅

They made some great runs off the ball and displayed fantastic confidence on the ball to make some really good passes. ❤️👍

They led for most of the game with some great goals. Huge well done to Arief, our POTM this week. He dribbled the ball well in open play, got on the scoresheet with a neat finish and was brave enough to have a stint in goal for the first time and made some great saves. 🏆🏅

Thanks to our parents, families, referees, coaches and sponsors Hunnebeck Formwork . We look forward to a home game next week, hopefully some of our players are feeling better and the Autumn sun is shining for us! ☀️🍁

Today Bilton Ajax U16 Whites were the away team against Bilton Ajax U16 Reds which over the last couple of seasons has been quite a fiesty match.

The day started with a good atmosphere with both teams looking to out do each other. Unfortunately for the Whites, we lost Kymani for the match who injured himself in warming up and was unable to play any part in the match.

With a quick shuffle around of the squad the game got under way. The Reds straight away started passing the ball around with ease with the Whites struggling to get much possession and although the Whites kept breaking down the attacks created very few chances.
Then Tiago came off with an ankle injury and was unable to continue.
Then after 13 minute a pass split the defence for the Reds to run onto and slot it past the keeper to go 1-0 up.

The Whites started to pass the ball around a bit better but still created few chances with Myles our keeper keeping us in the game and like the first goal, after 35 minutes the Reds broke through the back of the defence with Myles running out to narrow the angle but again the Reds went around the keeper and slotted it in to make it 2-0.

With the referee blowing up for the end of the first half it was a chance to get the lads back and give a good talking to to start showing a bit of character, to start wanting the ball and start wanting the win the game.

The second half got under way and the Whites started to settle down and although the Reds continued to pass the ball around the Whites started to create some chances then in the 22nd the Whites had a corner from which Henry headed in for his second goal of the season.
This picked the Whites up and all of a sudden it was game on, Myles our keeper pulled off some great saves and the Whites made the Reds’ keeper make some saves but then with less than 5 minutes to go, the Reds were awarded a penalty. The Reds took the penalty Myles saved it and also the follow up to keep the score 2-1 to the Reds.

With less than a minute to go the Whites had a corner and everybody, including the keeper piled into the penalty box. With a great corner that cleared the Reds defence and fell to Abraham’s head which narrowly passed the post to end the game 2-1 to the Reds.

Player of the Match for the Whites went to Abraham who had an endless amount to energy throughout the game and gave everything
The Parents player of the Match went to Chi.

The game was played in a well disciplined way from both sides. Great effort lads and best performance of the season.

Bilton Ajax U16 Reds vs Bilton Ajax U16 Whites.

Today was the second Bilton Derby & we knew the Whites would be up for the challenge after we came away with the win last time.

The Reds started brightly, moving the ball around well and took control of the game from early on.

13 minutes in, Cameron picked up the ball in the middle of the pitch and played it straight through to Morgan who stroked it past the goalkeeper into the bottom corner.

The Reds continued to press, looking for the second goal. After many near misses, on 35 minutes, Lewis played a beautiful through ball, which Charlie ran onto & was able to poke it past the onrushing goalkeeper.

At half time the lads were reminded to keep their composure and keep pressing for more goals as we knew the Whites were going to come out strong, wanting to get themselves back in the game.

Midway through the second half, after piling on lots of pressure, the Whites pulled one back when we missed marking their player who came in undetected and headed it in.

As the game went on, there were many chances for both sides, with the Whites’ keeper making some good saves.

In the dying moments we were awarded a penalty, which was well saved again by the Whites’ keeper. The lads held out until the final whistle and the game finished 2-1 to the Reds.

Player of the Match this week went to Nathan for his performance in midfield, who absolutely ran his socks off 🏆

Next week we’re home again, in the second round of the Birmingham FA Cup 🤞🏻

BAJFC U13 Falcons v ON Chenecks U13s

Falcons, sponsored by Momentous Solutions Ltd, were at home against ON Chenecks.

The boys started well with Sam F in particular putting in some good strong tackles and Falcons playing on the front foot. Xavi was on it, closing down and tackling well. Kian played in Henry M who found Sam F who was fouled on the edge of the area, Sam put a good free kick into the box but everyone missed it. Danyal made a good save at the other end.

Lots of Falcons pressure with Akaal hitting a good shot off his left foot that the goalie saved. Bailey then shot straight at the keeper. ON Chenecks won a corner and scored when the ball bounced in off Sam F. Chenecks scored again very quickly. Henry H then had a good chance but shot wide. Danyal made three saves but unfortunately no one was getting back to help him and Chenecks scored again.
Sam F and then Aryaan both had an opportunity to shoot which their keeper saved. We ended the first half three down after being the better team but not taking our chances.

Second half was much more open, end to end and we didn't have as much control on the ball. A goal kick went to their player who scored through Danyal’s legs. We attacked and their keeper made a good save. They scored again (after hitting the post earlier) with a great finish. Falcons kept going when Will got down the wing and put in a cross which Henry M nodded back and Akaal buried right on the 60" to finish the game.

Sam F was POTM today he was everywhere making great tackles and keeping the team moving. A tough one as we played some good football today and still didn't get a result.

Thanks to Michael for running the line and helping me to put the goals away.
We go again next week.
Some more corner practice at training.

🔥🐲 Dragons Rise to the Challenge Against Heyford! 🔴⚪️

With Elliot and Max unavailable, the remaining Dragons faced a tough Heyford Athletic side in a competitive game full of effort, great defending and some fantastic football.

🐲 Q1

Heyford started brightly, winning several early corners and keeping George busy with some excellent saves. Theo and Logan put in some important defensive work, while Freddie and Josh worked tirelessly to get the Dragons moving forward.

💪 Q2

The Dragons began to find their rhythm, with Henry linking play nicely and Oscar combining solid defending with some strong forward runs. Josh kept battling for every ball, and the breakthrough finally came when Henry set up Josh to get the Dragons on the scoresheet. 👏

🔥 Q3

What a quarter! Heyford hit back, but Freddie produced a moment of real quality, sending a superb effort looping over the goalkeeper from near the halfway line. ⚽🔥 Jack provided the assist for a fantastic team goal.

Josh continued to lead the press and battle for every ball, while Oscar and Theo worked hard defensively. George remained alert as Heyford threatened.

🚀 Q4

There was no let-up in the intensity. Heyford rattled the post and continued to test George, who stayed composed and made more important saves. Jack kept driving forward, Henry worked hard in attack, and Oscar continued to make crucial defensive interventions. The boys kept working right through to the final whistle.

👏 A brilliant effort from the Dragons. With players missing, everyone stepped up, showed commitment and worked hard for each other.

🏆 Managers’ Player – Josh

Endless running, fantastic commitment and a refusal to give up on the ball, even when competing on the floor. And that third-quarter haymaker! 🥊⚽️

🏆 Parents’ Player – Theo

Excellent defensive work, great forward play and a real willingness to take opponents on. Theo made a big contribution at both ends of the pitch.

A huge thank you to Heyford Athletic for a great game. They were excellent opponents, kept us under pressure throughout and certainly gave George plenty to think about! 🤝⚽️

Well done, boys — another valuable test and plenty to build on! 🐲

And, as always, a massive thank you to our fantastic sponsors JD Fabrications Rugby and Homeserve for their continued support. ❤️

⚽ ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL WEEK! 🔥

Another successful game for Ajax, but this one was far from easy! 💪

The opposition came determined and applied pressure right across the pitch. It took approx 15 minutes before the deadlock was finally broken, showing just how competitive the game was.

Ajax then found their rhythm and continued to find the net, while United responded brilliantly, bringing the scoreline level at one point and keeping the pressure on. 👏

From there, Ajax began to dominate across the pitch, with some excellent passing, communication and teamwork on show.

Most importantly, the hard work from training was clearly starting to transfer into the game. The boys are listening, learning and putting those skills into practice — exactly what we want to see! 🙌⚽

🔥 Great effort
👏 Great teamwork
🗣️ Great communication
⚽ Great football

Another positive step forward for Ajax! 💙
POM this week went to Jack for all his grit and determination on the pitch to make a difference.
