Our new summer Kids Athletic Development sessions have been brilliant, and we’re really proud of everyone who has taken part.
Led by Head Coach Nick Smith, an experienced Strength & Conditioning Coach who currently coaches at Princethorpe College, the sessions are designed for young athletes aged 11–16 who want to become faster, stronger and more resilient in their sport.
Each session focuses on the movement skills that underpin athletic performance: strength, speed, agility, coordination and body control.
These are skills that can be taught, developed and refined. Better movement means better performance, greater confidence and a reduced risk of injury.
Whether they play rugby, football, hockey, netball, athletics or another sport, they’ll leave with skills they can take back into training and competition.
We have just 3 spaces left for our final week of summer sessions:
📅 Tuesday 25th & Thursday 27th August
💷 £30 for both sessions
👥 Maximum 10 spaces per group

Starting somewhere new can feel a bit daunting.
Especially when you’re not sure what to expect, whether you’ll be able to do the movements or how the classes actually work.
That’s where our On Ramp induction process comes in.
All new members, whether they’re joining CrossFit, HYROX, She Lifts or Small Group Training, go through an induction process that we call On Ramp, specific to their membership.
You’ll learn the movements you’ll be doing, how our classes work and how to track your progress - all in a 1:1 setting, so you get plenty of coaching from the start.
You don’t need to know what you’re doing before you walk through the door. We’ll take it from there.
More Committed Club mug winners! ☕️
At Volentia we celebrate commitment to showing up. Show up consistently and you get get into the club and claim your monthly Committed Club stickers.

You don’t have to walk through the door already knowing how to do all of this.
Handstands, pull ups, double unders, Olympic lifts… most of the movements in CrossFit take time to learn.
But if you keep turning up, keep practising and keep working on the things that don’t come easily, then one day, you’ll realise you can do things you couldn’t do when you started.
Like these two. 🙌

She Lifts is strength training with a plan 💪
The programming is designed to progress over the course of the weeks, building strength through the main lifts and giving everyone plenty of opportunity to work on technique, consistency and confidence with weights💗
And yes, there’s usually a fair bit of messing around in between sets too 🤪

Our brand new Kids Athletic Development sessions at Volentia kicked off last month! 🔥
Led by Head Coach Nick Smith, an experienced Strength & Conditioning Coach who currently coaches at Princethorpe College, these sessions are designed for young athletes aged 11–16 who want to become faster, stronger and more resilient in their sport.
Running across two 2-week blocks during the summer holidays, each session will develop the movement skills that underpin athletic performance. From strength and speed to agility, coordination and body control, we’ll help young athletes build the foundations that every sport demands.
These aren’t just physical qualities, they’re skills that can be taught, developed and refined. Better movement means better performance, greater confidence and a reduced risk of injury.
Whether they play rugby, football, hockey, netball, athletics or any other sport, they’ll leave with skills they can take back into training and competition for years to come.
Spaces are limited.
To book your child’s place in our final block of the summer starting next Tuesday 18th August, or ask us any questions please send us a DM.

No two members need exactly the same coaching.
Some need a technical cue.
Some need to slow down.
Some need a nudge.
Some need reminding they’re capable of more than they think.
