Excellent President’s Day at Thornfield today. Overall winner was Graham and winner of the fancy dress competition was Tom Merry (Sgt Pepper). “It’s wonderful to be here, it’s certainly a thrill, you’re such a lovely audience, we’d like to take you home with us, we’d love to take you home….”

A successful weekend for Thornfield,
Runners up in the Fours - Nicola, Pat (in for Tina), Becky and Maureen.
Becky won the Warwickshire Champion of Champions and was also officially announced as Warwickshire WBA Junior Vice President 🏆

Yesterday at the delightful and friendly Burbage Constitutional. The sky was just a sea of blue. Everyone took their time, plenty of water was laid on and good use was made of the shady spots. The hot weather is set to continue into next week, but you a still enjoy your bowls. Just be sensible and look out for each other. ☀️🌞👍👍
The green doesn’t take care of itself. When the weather is like this the green team have to work extra hard to keep the green in tip top condition. Watering, feeding and managing how it is cut. Thanks from all members go to Keith and the team.

Rugby Thornfield Outdoor Bowls Club were given a warm welcome from Ted and the Rugby Rail guys yesterday afternoon. Beautiful afternoon, with all the hot weather the green ran quickly and really well. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed eachother’s company.
