✨ Check-In Thursday ✨

Honestly, HOW is it Thursday again?💖

This week has absolutely flown by

Another busy one for Glitter & Gains and I’ve welcomed 3 new clients into the family this week 🥹✨

I absolutely love that first part of someone’s journey finding out what they want to achieve, building a plan around them and then watching the confidence and progress start to happen.

I can’t wait to see what these ladies achieve 💪🏻

As for me,
My biggest priority this week isn’t another PB or adding more to my training.
It’s SLEEP 😴
Getting back into a proper routine, getting to bed at a sensible time and actually giving my body the recovery it needs.

With the summer holidays starting to wind down, I think I’m actually ready for a bit of normality again!

And I have a feeling I’m not the only mum thinking that,

Because forget “New Year, New Me” in January

I swear September is the REAL New Year for mums 🙌🏻

The kids go back to school.
The routine comes back.
The diary starts looking vaguely normal again.

And suddenly there’s a little bit of space to think,
“Right. What about ME?”

Maybe you’ve spent the whole summer putting everyone else first.

Maybe your training has taken a back seat.

Maybe you’re ready to feel stronger, fitter and more confident again.

You don’t need to completely reinvent yourself.

You just need to start making you a priority again. ✨

And if September feels like your time to do exactly that, I have personal training availability opening up. 💪🏻💖

No “new you” required.

Just you with a little more time, support and confidence to start working towards your own goals.

Drop me a message and let’s have a chat 💌✨

The version of you
you’re becoming

is created by the things
you choose to do today.

✨ Check-In Thursday ✨

It’s that time of the week, a little moment to pause, reflect and check in with ourselves 💖

And this week I’ve realised just how much I’m LOVING my training at the minute.

I stepped back into kickboxing for the first time in THREE YEARS 🥊🔥

Was I a little rusty? Absolutely! But it felt SO good to be back.

It’s funny how your body remembers, and I’d forgotten just how much I loved being pushed in a completely different way.

Right now my training is a bit of everything,

🥊 Kickboxing
🏃🏼‍♀️ Running
🏋🏼‍♀️ Weight training

My strength is coming back, the weights are going up and I’ve got so much more energy. I’m genuinely excited to train and see what my body can do next.

Today the trainers were swapped for a day at the farm because it’s Alex’s birthday 🎂💖

I’ve taken the whole day off to enjoy some family time, make memories and, obviously, eat birthday cinnamon buns (homemade by me because who else?! 😂🤌🏻)

Training hard, getting stronger and chasing your own goals, but knowing when to switch off and enjoy the moments that really matter too.

And my clients, You lot have given me plenty to smile about this week

I’m seeing strength going up, confidence growing and little wins happening everywhere some that show up in numbers and some that don’t.
What I’m loving most is watching you start to recognise your own progress.

That moment when you realise…

“Hang on, I couldn’t do that a few weeks ago!” 🙌🏻

THAT is everything.

I might be your hype woman, but seeing you become your own hype woman is even better 🥹💪🏻✨

It doesn’t always have to be about the next goal, the next PB or what’s left to achieve.

Sometimes it’s worth stopping for a second and giving yourself a bit of credit for what you’re already doing.

So… how are YOU checking in this week?

What’s one thing you’re proud of yourself for right now? 💖✨

Having one of those days where comparison really is the thief of joy. 🙃

So I had to remind myself how far I’ve actually come…

3rd June → today
Pre-show prep → post-show & FED 😂🍚

From basically living off fresh air 😮‍💨 to eating more, getting stronger and actually filling my muscles back out again. 🍑💪🏻

Sometimes you don’t see the changes when you look at yourself every day.

So I put the exact same exercise side by side…

And yep. We’re growing. 🥹🍑

Trust the process. 🤍

Ever wonder why I set you a step goal? 👣
It’s not just about hitting a number it’s about helping you stay in control 🔥

Every step adds up!

Depending on your weight and pace 10,000 steps can burn anywhere from 275–525 calories.

That’s an effortless way to boost your daily movement, support recovery, and keep your metabolism ticking without needing to cut more food 🍽️

Remember fat loss isn’t just about eating less. You can create a calorie deficit by:
✨ Moving more
✨ Training smarter
✨ Fueling your body well

Your step goal is there to help you do exactly that in a sustainable, low-stress way 💖

Save this post for future reference and tag a friend who’s always checking their step count!

POV: the girl who only ever films leg day finally records PUSH 😂

Yes, I do actually train upper body.

Today I actually recorded some of my push session. 💪🏻

And if you know me, you’ll know push day is probably my least favourite day of the week. 👎🏻

we’re showing up, we’re getting stronger

Chest, shoulders & triceps getting some love for once. 🫡🔥

Can’t just grow the glutes. 🍑😂

✨ Motivation vs Discipline ✨

Motivation feels great… but it’s not what gets results.
It comes and goes depending on your mood, energy, hormones, and life.

Discipline is what carries you on the days motivation is missing.
It’s showing up tired.
It’s doing “good enough.”
It’s keeping promises to yourself even when it would be easier not to.

Real progress isn’t built on hype days —
it’s built on the ordinary ones.

You don’t need more motivation.
You need structure, habits, and trust in yourself.

Show up. Stay consistent.
That’s where the magic happens. ✨💪

High-Protein Pizza 🍕

For one good-sized pizza base:

* 150g 0% Greek yoghurt
* 150g self-raising flour
* Pinch of salt
* ½ tsp garlic granules
* ½ tsp Italian herbs

Toppings:

* 60g passata
* 80g reduced-fat mozzarella
* 100g cooked chicken
* Peppers/onion/mushrooms — whatever you fancy
* Oregano

Method: Mix the yoghurt and flour until a dough forms. Knead very briefly on a floured surface, then roll fairly thin. I’d pre-bake the naked base at 200°C fan for about 8–10 minutes, then flip if needed, add your toppings and bake for another 8–10 minutes until golden and bubbling.

🍕 Approx macros — whole pizza

850 kcal
💪 70g protein
🍞 105g carbs
🥑 14g fat

3 years away, and she’s back 🥊🔥

Today I had a kickboxing session with my old instructor after THREE YEARS away.

Was I a little rusty? Absolutely 😂
Did my body remember more than I thought it would? YES 🙌🏻

And after the week I’ve had, this was EXACTLY what I needed.

An hour to switch my brain off, de-stress and just hit some pads. 🥊😮‍💨

I’d genuinely forgotten how much I LOVE this the combinations, the kicks, the sound of hitting the pads and that feeling when everything else disappears for an hour. 🖤

Black belt might be a little dusty, but she’s definitely still in there. 😂🥋

Safe to say, kickboxing is officially back on the agenda. 🥊🔥

💖THIS IS SO MUCH MORE THAN A GYM TRANSFORMATION 💖

Less than 1kg difference between these two photos, but SO much has changed.

This transformation has never been about making Sara smaller.

Quite the opposite.

We’ve been working on eating MORE, fuelling her body properly, getting stronger and giving her body what it needs to build muscle.

And you can absolutely see it.

More shape. More muscle. More definition through her back and shoulders and a completely different physique.

But honestly, the physical transformation is only part of it.

What I’m most proud of is the confidence Sara has gained along the way. 🥹

Watching her go from doubting herself to realising just how bloody capable she actually is has been amazing.

She’s stronger, she’s eating more, she’s lifting more and she’s doing things she once wouldn’t have believed she could do…

Including smashing out 8 pull-ups!! 💪🏼🔥

There have been good weeks, tired weeks, busy weeks and weeks where life has just lifed 😂 but she’s kept showing up.

No crazy diets.
No trying to get as small as possible.
Just eating, training, recovering, building and becoming stronger along the way.

The scales might be almost exactly the same

But the woman standing in front of the camera isn’t. 💖

Stronger body.
Stronger mind.
More confidence.

And we’re still building

This is why I love what I do. It’s never just about changing a body. ✨
