Start of the day we had a squad of 13, turned up ended up with 10, 2 Goalkeepers, Al Clifton having to play and gaffer Jase having to don the number 38 ( Russell Ambrose didn't look as tight on me )...

This being said the 10 lads there today put a absolute graft in against the fittest side in our division... After ten mins we found ourselves two nil up ! Absolute madness! But then half hour came and we were under the cosh with that player missing and players playing out of position a keeper in at right back and me and Al CB and CM we were always going to be under a wave of attacks..

The result is very harsh on us today and generally the lads who still fought and dug deep was a credit to themselves!

Today we welcomed the well Established Brereton Lion to SUA..

We knew today was going to be a tough test against a side whose been in the prem since god's dog was born!

Class shown from the opposition this morning but we do take positives from the game we never gave up and continued to play the way we want to.. fair play to our lads this morning put a right shift in against one of or if not one of the top two clubs in the division!

Thanks for coming back to the Smokey also lads !

For us we continue to go again next week away to HMP SWINFEN HALL!

First Premier League Fixture Result..

This morning we travelled over to Stafford to face a woodseaves side who beat us only a few weeks ago during pre season.

We knew what we were up against with Woodseaves being a well organised driven side but we were confident and had the belief in what we set out to do.

It didn't take us long to go ahead which is something we spoke about prior to KO which we felt was important to settle us down and we did just that 3 minutes in Will Tolley clips a ball round there LB & CB for Skipper Adam Green to out strength the centre half and expertly finish Past the on rushing keeper.

1-0 To The Smokey!

Longer the game went on we grew and grew and looking very comfortable in and out of possession, we didn't look like we were going to concede today with a very organised defensive display.

We created chances and I think both teams will agree the scoreline should of been more than just a one nil win!

Today we welcomed The Horns to the concrete jungle that's also known as SUA...

Performance was very good and we played some good stuff today! Mistakes and concentration cost us on their goals but the performance and way we played today was pleasing!

Onto the real stuff now next week!

This Morning we welcomed Radford Rangers to the concrete jungle called SUA.. they turned up with impressively high numbers..

We started off knocking the ball around well and keeping possession against a very fit high pressing and very well organised radford press, we got our breakthrough through a ridiculous free kick from Simon Roberto Carlos Barber.. unbelievable finish!

Then straight from kick off Radford won a throw in and a long throw into box caught us napping and there winger finishes well back across goal decent finish to be fair to the lad!

A miss clearance let Radford grab a second from a mistake of our own and we went into the break 2-1 down.

1-2 Half Time

We made our four changes at half time and the lads who came on gave us energy and a drive.. nobody looked out of place at all.

We got a equaliser after a rocket from Paul Halifax on the half valley rattles the cross bar and Con Brown reacts instinctively and pokes the ball home 2-2 game on!

We grabbed a third when we won a foul outside the area and Liam Giggsy Rogers steps up and rifles the ball home great set piece!

Then a moment of stupidity cost us again got caught out and there striker prodded the ball past our keeper to sn**ch a draw in the last few minutes of the game!

Thank you to Radford Rangers for the game & thank you for taking all your rubbish afterwards!
