Island Beach Netball

This weekend, the clipboards were swapped for festival wristbands and it was time for us to let our hair down. 🎶☀️

A much-needed weekend at the Isle of Wight Festival before the serious business begins… because our big tournament is just around the corner in July! 🏐🏖️

One last weekend of dancing, singing and making memories before we dive headfirst into all things Island Beach Netball tournament planning!

🏝️ Session 2 was a VIBE! 🎶☀️

With the weather threatening to spoil the fun all day (including rain and even the odd rumble of thunder! ⛈️), we took a chance and we’re so glad we did.

The clouds cleared, the sun came out, the 90s bangers were blasting, and we hit the sand for another brilliant evening of beach netball! 🏐🏖️

We mixed everyone up into 5 teams and had some fantastic, competitive matches. All matches were close but Team Yellow 💛 and Team Orange 🧡 both won 3 out of their 4 games…with Team Orange taking the overall victory on most goals scored!

Huge well done to everyone who played, danced, laughed, and made it such a great session. 🙌 💃 So great to have our fab umpire Jane Bates back with us again too! 🙌

🌦️ BEACH NETBALL IS ON TONIGHT! 🌦️

The forecast may be looking a little bit British 🇬🇧☔️, but tonight’s session is still going ahead whatever the weather!

We’re not going to let a bit of drizzle stop us, so bring a waterproof if you fancy and, most importantly, bring the vibes! 🏐😎

We’re planning to put out 2 courts based on current Spond numbers, so please make sure you’ve updated your availability if you are (or aren’t) coming tonight.

A little rain never hurt anyone… and you’re barefoot anyway! 😉🏖️

What a fantastic first night back on the sand! 😊 It was lovely to see lots of our returners back again, and great to welcome some new faces too.

🌊 Blue skies, sunshine and beach netball… what more could we ask for?!

Already looking forward to seeing you all again next week for more fun on the beach! ☀️
