People may not know that I don't regularly get to train in my own private space.
As much as I love it, after spending all day there it just feels a bit too much like work.
So I train at my local community gym instead, which on the whole is great.
BUT...
Far too often I see people sat around doing absolutely nothing other than scrolling on their phones, and it makes my blood boil.
Granted, it's a community gym, so you don't get the ball bags wandering around half naked, flexing in front of a tripod and filming every set. That's a positive.
But even so, if I had my way, phones wouldn't be allowed on gym floors.
I think training time is pretty sacred. Whether that's the gym, running, cycling, yoga or anything else.
It's one of the few times in the day where you don't need notifications, work messages or any other nonsense demanding your attention.
Put the thing away for an hour.
Keep it in your pocket if you must. If the temptation is too much, leave it in the locker. Better still, leave it in the car.
Simple.
