Week 2 roundup!
For the second week running we made it three league wins out of four, with some terrific displays across all teams!
The 1st XI were spearheaded to victory with a ruthless bowling and fielding performance, followed by an uncharacteristic but extremely vital 56* from Haseeb Fariad, as they go top!
In the 2nd XI Matt Niel starred with both bat and ball, combining with Marcus Wilson with a crucial 100 run partnership, before taking two crucial wickets in a brilliant win for the twos, which also sends them top!
The 3rd XI had to battle with giant haystacks away at West Herts, and despite some economical and effective bowling from Arshad Iqbal, fell short in the chase.
Finally, the 4th XI were victors in a low scoring thriller! Having been bowled out for 92, Karl Turner led the bowling attack superbly, his 5 wicket hall steering the fours to victory!
Another excellent week all round, bring on match week three!
