So today we officially announced the retirement of our OG freestyle pocket rocket, Mia. 💫

From a tiny Under 8 to the incredible dancer she is today, Mia has grown into an intelligent, capable and beautifully technical performer. We had hoped to keep her competing a little longer, but with injury in the mix, we know this is the right time to close this chapter of her journey.

She leaves the competition floor as a Double Champ dancer and as one of our original ambassadors who has set the standard from the very beginning.

Mia, you have been such a huge part of the SWDA and I will genuinely miss you in the classroom more than words can say.

But this isn’t goodbye, she will continue her amazing role as an Ambassador for our Under 8 and Under 11 classes in Harpenden, and we will still see her in Commercial on Tuesdays (thank goodness!).

No more tears, just pride and one last competition.
What a journey. What a dancer.

A little late… but what a weekend at Follow your dreams

Our first festival of the season and we are so proud of every dancer – amazing results, huge progress, and some fab grade moves.

It’s been non-stop… and we’ve finally had a moment to breathe

With very few photos (because it was non-stop from start to finish!), this weekend will be remembered more for the feeling than the pictures – and what a feeling it was ❤️

Thank you for the lifts to class, the juggling of the scheduled, competition weekends, the costume prep, the pep talks, the hugs after tough moments and the loudest cheers from the audience.

A special shoutout to our competition mums who spend their weekends travelling, supporting and riding the emotional rollercoaster of every high and low with our squad girls. Your dedication never goes unnoticed.
