Goodness what a hectic few weeks🤪it has been. Yesterday was the BRC ODE 90cm Qualifiers. Lanhydrock Downs Revenge (Rav) and Warpaint (Pix) strutting their stuff. Very disappointing tests with a 34.5 and a 33. Both cracking clear rounds in the SJ and XC. I do not wear a stop watch but the optimum time was 4.40. Rav came in bang on the time and Pixie had no time penalties either. A 9th and 11th. So disappointed with Ravs's test, it felt much better than the mark given. Anyway, onwards and hopefully upward Marks.
Warpaint did her first 90cm BE ODE last week (25/6/23). Super pleased. I came away a little down beat as I thought I was 12th. Again, a 34.8 dressage, cracking SJ clear and a good clear XC with a her hesitating a little at the combinations but proving yesterday she was totally switched on with lots more confidence. Anyway, the following day (Monday) I wanted to know her XC time just out of interest and to a very, very pleasant surprise we had come 7th.
Rav has been to a couple of BS shows and jumping some good rounds in the Discovery and 105.
The 3 girls, MADDIE, LOTTIE and JEAN have had their dressage shoes on with little Maddie really proving she can strutt her stuff winning a few classes at Poldice and Cornwall Trec's evening show.
Ah yes, in-between this we had the Area 19 SJ 90cm qualifier at Chyverton. With Rav and his Team mates getting clears all round and the team winning the class with Rav individually 4th. Lincoln here we come. Jean did a reasonable try in the 80cm with a better second round.
That's a quick round up of everything. I do have a very nice 15hh Welsh X coming up for sale. Super looking and is the one with Sophie Robson on at Hendra with a super lesson with Emily Vincent. Needs a capable rider.
I would just like to thank all venue holders. It takes so much hard work. A big special thanks to Nick and Mandy at Chyverton for all the years they have supported the equestrian fraternity, you will be greatly missed. My thanks to all who help and support me. Happy and Safe Riding to you All

HARLYN GOLDRUSH. A very Handsome, Flashy chestnut Irish Draught X
TB, Gelding. 16hh, 9 years old with lots to learn but a quick learner
and with his age he is more than capable to acquire the experience he
needs quite swiftly in the right hands. An Experienced home is
Essential with someone who wants to put the time about him with a
kind, sensible attitude. A super project with potential success for the
right person. He hacks alone or in company, getting to grips with
traffic very quickly, tractors, lorries etc. He is popping a few fences,
certainly a future RC/Eventer, Dressage horse, given the chance a real
good sort. Ridden in a snaffle. Comfortable ride. Schools and is doing
well with work. Bred in Cornwall. Loads and travels well in a lorry.
Very good with others in field. Such a willing and enjoyable chap.
Ridden by everyone in the yard.
Wormed and teeth done. No lwvtb. Videos available.

Costing a fortune, but some super horses to be had.

Let’s start with ‘Jean’ a recently broken, 3 coming 4 year old. 16hh, Bay
mare. WB X TB. Typical youngster but coming on a treat. As most of
you know they are not pushed here, so we are taking our time to
progress this beautiful young lady. Although she’s doing trotting poles
and cross-poles and hacking really nicely, she is very good in traffic.
Quiet and brave person, with decent paces. Not shod yet. Vaccinated,
teeth and physio check over.

A super little trip to Colraine yesterday to do the 95cm Arena Eventing with Rav. Over a course of 22 fences (goodness knows how I remembered it). The only clear in both sections gave him 1st place. His first outing since March so we were very happy people, myself and Tash Trudgeon. A big thank you to Colraine again for all their hard work and lovely to see everyone.
