This evening our Open Age team take on a newly formed Merseyside Police Team, who will come from across the force area, many of them local lads.

Due to our OA preparing for a league fixture at the weekend, the hot weather and first run out of the Police Team, the game will be played with adapted rules.

Kick off at 7pm if you’d like to pop down and get your rugby league fix this evening πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸš”

This morning the club were visited by St Helens Council for a Hygiene Inspection, and thanks to the meticulous management of Diane Rotherham, Sue Skerry and the team, the club have been awarded its third consecutive 5 Star Hygiene rating.

We are so lucky to have such passionate, committed and knowledgeable volunteers.

The Environmental Health Officer stated she was very impressed with how a team of volunteers run, manage, co-ordinate and drive such high standards.

Diane and Sue would like to pass their sincere thanks to all who operate within the kitchen and bar settings on matchdays, at training, fundraisers and club events.

Another fantastic achievement for little old Portico Vine πŸ’šπŸ’›
