I'm absolutely devastated to say that we lost Biscuit this morning 😭💔💔
We tried so very hard for him the last fortnight but nothing alleviated his pain. After a glimmer of hope that the treatment was working after he had a few good days, he rapidly deteriorated and there was no other option than to say a very tearful and heartbreaking goodbye to him and help him catch his rainbow 😢
He had severe deformations of his neck bones which was pinching his spinal cord, I assume he was born with the defective joints and they just hadn't caused any problems until they suddenly did. He was only 13 years old and we thought we had so many more years with him 💙
We're so sad he couldn't enjoy a long retirement with his buddies, his last few days were spent in a paddock with a friend in some lovely long grass, just being a horse. 💕
Thank you so, so much to every single person that donated to his fundraiser and supported us to at least try and give him a chance, you're all amazing ❤️
And a big Thank you to my dedicated team, who after going through this awful goodbye at 9.30am, had to put on a brave face for a fully booked day of mostly children arriving at 10am.
To the bestest boy, Thank you for your service, your wonderful attitude to your work and for giving the best cuddles. I hope the carrots are endless 🌈
