What a fantastic day we had yesterday at New Bailey as part of the Make Tracks event on Chapel Street, Salford!

It was great to meet so many people, have a chat and give visitors the chance to try our cargo bikes, adapted cycles and kids balance bikes, with lots of people experiencing them for the first time.

The children particularly loved the balance bikes, and it was brilliant to see a few of them confidently taking their first steps towards cycling, leaving with some very big smiles!

We are grateful to Salford City Council and From the Other for putting this event together, Solid Ground and New Bailey for coordinating the venue, and everyone else involved in organising such a great community event. One special mention to Deli Lama, who catered for our staff. We loved your food as always!

We’re launching!
On 6th July 2026, Manchester Bikes will go live with a shared cycle scheme connecting Walkden railway station to RHS Bridgewater and we couldn’t be more proud of what this represents.
Back in May, Active Travel England announced the twelve winners of its £1 million Innovation Fund. We were one of them, partnering with Mosa as our technology partner to bring this project to life.
The route is less than two miles. The model is community-led. And that’s exactly the point.
Shared cycle schemes have historically followed population density and commercial viability. Suburban communities, rural destinations, heritage sites, last-mile station links, they get left behind. I his project is proof that doesn’t have to be the case.
RHS Garden Bridgewater is just the beginning of what we believe this model can become.
Thank you to Active Travel England for backing the vision, to Royal Horticultural Society Garden Bridgewater for welcoming us, to Salford City Council for allocating cycle parking outside Walkden Station a small but essential piece of the puzzle, and in particular to Josh Liu and the team MOSA tor building the platform that makes it all run.
If you’re in Walkden on the 6th, come say hello.

Every adventure starts with a decision to explore.

A winding trail. A hidden path. A family day out that turns into an unforgettable journey.

Tern Orox is built for those who refuse to stay in one place. This is your ticket to freedom, exploration, and discovery. Beyond every corner is a new trail, a new destination, and a new story waiting to be written. Whether you are exploring with the family, carrying the kids on their next adventure, or heading into the unknown, every journey begins with a single ride.
