It’s nice to see the girls enjoying their football. This was a really good display from each and every player. With a rough, muddy pitch it became increasingly difficult to play our regular passing game, however with creative play we dominated possession keeping the game mostly in the opposition half. Robyn created space for herself time and again on the right wing opening the game up and creating lots of goal scoring opportunities. Our first goal came from a tight angled shot finished beautifully by Chloe. Deans pulled one back, but as a team we got ourselves straight back in the lead with a lovely strike from Rachel.
The second half saw Deans get one back after a period of pressing. The whole defensive line held strong for the remainder of the game, with exceptional movement and recovery from Ruby in the right back position. We were able to get the ball forward for our midfield to continuously put pressure on the opposition. Liz, back for her first game of the season after injury scored a top class goal to get us the win.
Goals: Chloe, Rachel, Liz
POTM: Robyn ❤️❤️

Late post for last weeks game - On the back of a couple of defeats the ladies have been working really hard training as a unit and it most definitely showed in today’s performance. The passing was accurate and clinical in all areas of the field with each and every player putting in 110%. Our defence played out wonderfully from the back whilst our midfield drove beautifully up the field with clear communication, opening up the spaces for some wonderful passing in to our strikers. Half time saw us in the lead with a stunning goal from Chloe.
The girls never slowed their pace in this game scoring a second from a fantastic free kick taken by Ella. North Walkden pulled one back soon after, however the girls stayed level headed and strong. A few confident saves from our keeper kept Walkden at bay. Meanwhile, up the other end of the field Rachel converted two more beautiful goals to end the game with a confident 4-1 win.
Goals: Chloe, Ella, Rachel (2)
POTM: Alex Doyle
Rachel Jones
Robyn Tyldesley

POTM goes to Meg Jones for a determined and strong performance in defence.
Oppositions POTM Ella for her amazing energy.

What a battle. A very early injury saw us down to no subs in gruelling, muddy conditions. Each and every player battled for the full 90. The first half saw us with a lot of possession, playing some lovely passing football in the middle once again. The dynamic pairing of Mia and Ella up top saw us with a few early chances. Meanwhile Daly-Lowe, playing out of position to support as CB put on a strong performance to keep Chadderton at bay. Unfortunate to concede one we went into half time 1-0 down but determined to bring it back in the second half. Pitch conditions made the second half harder for our passing game but it didn’t stop us when Ella beautifully set Mia up for our first goal to bring the game level. Unfortunately, Chadderton got themselves back in the lead shortly after. However, with strength in defence and skilled movement up top the game opened back up for Ella to find the back of the net bringing the final score to a 2-2 draw. We continue to see massive improvements on last season throughout our game and growth as a team.
Final score- 2-2
POTM- A joint crowning, very well deserved for both - Daly-Lowe for a solid game in defence and Ella for covering so much of the field and creating so many chances for us throughout.

A fantastic display of football this weekend as we faced an unbeaten young and fast paced Westbury side.
The girls started off brilliantly with a sensational goal from Chloe that saw her long range shot find the back of the net. Unfortunately, the team became a bit unsettled with the pace of Westbury and conceded two goals in quick succession.
However, finding their element once more the girls settled in the latter stages of the first half. As our skipper Daly-Lowe stepped up to the penalty spot to put it away for our second. The first half ended with a narrow lead to Westbury, who were kept at bay thanks to some stunning saves by Sam, who stepped up in net and put in a POTM performance in the absence of our keeper.
The second half was a beautiful display of football in all areas of the field. Chloe continued her fantastic performance from defence playing out from the back beautifully. And our midfield continued to frustrate the opposition with precise passing which ultimately led to the 3-3 equaliser scored by our new signing Ella. Unfortunately the opposition snuck in one more goal to edge the lead which just added even more determination to the De La performance. Izzy once again found us the equaliser and with only 4 minutes to play it looked like we might edge the win however struggled to convert in the dying seconds.
The match ended 4-4 a result that we can be happy with after such an exciting and competitive match.
Goals: Chloe, Daley (P), Ella, Izzy
POTM: Sam for a wonderful performance in net this week.
