The Valentine Cup is back. 🏆

Four Salford clubs. Two trophies. One city coming together to celebrate community rugby league.

On Sunday 25 October, the Valentine Cup returns to the field at Salford Community Stadium after a 14-year absence — bringing back a competition with more than a century of history behind it.

🏉 Valentine Shield — 11am
🏆 Valentine Cup — 1pm
📍 Salford Community Stadium
🎟️ Free admission — donations welcome on the gate

This is about more than bringing back an old trophy. It’s about celebrating the clubs, players, volunteers and families who have kept rugby league alive in communities across Salford — and starting a new chapter for the competition.

Come down, support your club and be part of the Valentine Cup’s return.

A huge thank you to the partners and sponsors helping make the return possible: Debeau Performance, Salford Distillery, Arlec Property Services Ltd and The Dog & Partridge and to Salford City Council for grant funding.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for the Karen Aldcroft Memorial Shield match between the Open Age and Masters team.

It was great to see the sidelines packed and almost 50 players, past & present, taking to the field to battle it out for the shield in aid of Moya Cole Hospice, Greater Manchester in memory of Karen Aldcroft.

We managed to raise over £1000, which will be dropped with the hospice tomorrow and will help them continue the great work they do. If you wasn’t able to get down but would still like to show your support, you can always donate online via this link….

Also a huge thank you to the sponsors for their support in helping us run the event;

Just 2 weeks to go until our Under 15’s compete in the NWC Plate Final as they take on Pilks Recs Ambers at Culcheth.

The lads have worked extremely hard over the last 12 months and thoroughly deserve their place in the final. It would be good if we can get a good crowd down to hopefully roar them to victory.

A huge thank you to our cup final sponsors who have sponsored a special match shirt for the lads;

A Level Flowing Screed & Concrete Specialist
CQ Salon
Sparta Lightning Services Limited
Aquae Underfloor Heating
SRD Roofing
