The opening day of our new 20-week junior league got underway on Saturday, with an exciting new format in place.
This season we're using the Cuestars tiering system, with Gold and Silver players competing in the Super League, while Bronze and Beginner players battle it out in the Premier League. The new structure should create more evenly matched games, giving every player a great chance to compete, improve, and challenge for a league trophy.
The Super League saw Tyler Beer make the perfect start with an unbeaten performance to top the standings. Tom McEvoy claimed second place, edging out six-time consecutive champion Dylan Beer on the head-to-head rule. Can Tyler or Tom finally end Dylan's incredible run of six league titles in a row?
Over in the Premier League, Kera Russell got her campaign off to a winning start. Kera lost just one match on her way to topping the group, with Lewis Beer pushing her all the way. Lewis also suffered just a single defeat, but Kera took first place thanks to the head-to-head result.
A fantastic start to the new league, with plenty of exciting matches still to come over the next 19 weeks!
