This is the amazing charity our mini athletes are raising funds for during classes all next week. 🌟

Imagine This is the only charity in the UK solely dedicated to supporting the mental wellbeing of seriously ill children.

There are more than 1 million children in the UK facing life limiting, life-threatening and chronic conditions.

Their childhoods are overshadowed by coming to terms with diagnosis, hospital stays, treatment, feeling different from friends or managing how their illness affects daily life. Many of them struggle with anxiety, low mood, trauma and isolation.

The strong focus is on medical treatment and their mental wellbeing is often left behind.

That's where Imagine This steps in... Their projects are delivered in children’s hospitals, hospices and community settings across the UK. And by 2035, they aim to reach every seriously ill child by delivering a diverse range of projects and emotional support to children and families living through the unimaginable.

One of their projects brings the joy of movement to children in their hospital beds through dance, yoga and music. We all know how much joy brings our mini athletes... So let's come together to bring some joy to children who really need our help. ♥️

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Our Wincanton classes are back indoors this weekend! 🎉

As the colder weather arrives, we’re moving inside to North Cheriton Village Hall — but the fun, energy and Mini Athletics adventures continue! 🌟

Every week brings a new theme, turning our classes into imaginative little adventures where children can run, jump, throw, balance, play and let their imaginations run wild! 🦸‍♀️🚒🦖🚀

It’s a brilliant way to build confidence, coordination, physical skills and a love of being active — all while having LOTS of fun! ❤️

Saturday timetable:

🕘 9:00–9:45 — Didees | Ages 2–3.5
🕤 9:45–10:30 — Littles | Ages 3.5–5
🕥 10:30–11:15 — Minis | Ages 5–7

📍 North Cheriton Village Hall (5 minutes from Wincanton)

Coach Lucy had a lot of fun with her mini athletes, delivering passengers to the right stations and building train tracks!

The secret is finally out! 🎈🥹💕

We had the big Baby Gogo reveal at the end of today’s classes in Wincanton and the excitement among our mini athletes was just brilliant! It was such a lovely moment when they found out if Gogo is having a boy or a girl! 👀💕

The baby gazelle is due any day now, which means our mini athletes are going to have some very important baby duties coming up during our special Charity Week! 🍼😂

From 12th–18th October, the children will be coming to class in their PJs, ready to help feed Baby Gogo and, of course, clean up all the baby mess! 😂🍼🧻

We’d love you to get behind your mini athlete and sponsor them as we raise money for Imagine This — a brilliant charity that helps bring joy to seriously ill children through movement. 💛

If you don’t already have one, make sure you pick up a sponsor form from your coach this weekend!

Ready, Set, Ho Ho Ho! 🎄🌟

Bookings are OPEN for this year's Fun Run with Santa and tickets are selling fast!

After the magic of our very first event last year, I'm SO excited that it's back for a second year! 😀

Last year was such a wonderful occasion. The children absolutely loved running around the track with Santa cheering them on, and so many parents told us how the whole family had the best time!

It was fantastic to see so many children being inspired by the magic of Christmas to run as far as they could! 🏃🏃

This year's event is for children from walking up to the age of 10 and will take place on Saturday, December 5th at 2pm!

There are only 50 tickets available, so be quick if you want to join us!

We will be at Salisbury Athletics Track again - giving families the chance to run on a real athletics track!

The one-hour experience includes:

🎄 Santa's Guard of Honour - Cheer as Santa makes his grand entrance onto the track!

🎄 Wake Up Santa Warm-Up - Santa is sleepy after his long journey! Help us wake him up with a fun, festive warm-up!

🎄 The Fun Run - Run, jog or walk around the track for 20 minutes. Each lap completed earms you a sticker on your special running card (400m per lap).

🎄 Santa's Medal Presentation - Receive your Santa Fun Run medal from the big man himself and celebrate your achievement. Don't forget your camera!

It is going to be a fantastic, feel-good event and will be the perfect way to kick off the festive season!

Tickets cost £16.96 (including a booking fee) per child, with accompanying adults going free! The booking page is linked in our Bio... See you there!

Baby Gogo is due any day now!! 😀

Gogo is going to need all the help he can get! Are your mini athletes up to the challenge?! 🌟

We need them to help our favourite gazelle feed his new arrival and clear up all the baby mess! Send them along in their PJs for the special occasion... and let's raise lots of money for Imagine This!

Charity Week classes are taking place during the week of October 12th to October 18th.

We would absolutely love you to ask grandparents, aunties, uncles and anyone else you can think of if they can spare a few pennies to sponsor your children!

Everybody should have a sponsor form by now, but if you don't, please ask myself, Lucy or Jake for one this weekend! 👍🏻

Everybody who returns their sponsor form will be put into a prize draw to win a spectacular original piece of artwork celebrating all things Mini Athletics - perfect for your little one's bedroom! BOOK NOW for a day of festive-filled FUN! 😀

We already run super successful holiday camps in Salisbury during the Easter and Summer Holidays. And now we have a Christmas camp too! 🏃🎄

It will take place on Monday, December 21st at Dennis Marsh House in Salisbury and spaces are limited so book early to avoid disappointment!

You can get all those last minute Christmas jobs done while we give your kids a magical festive day of sport, games, arts and crafts, and much more!

It will be the perfect start to the Christmas holidays!

The cost is £29, the hours are 8.45am to 3pm, and the camp is open to all children aged 5 to 8.

We can't wait!!

🌟 GOOD LUCK to this wonderful mini athlete! 🌟

We said a very special goodbye to Anya last month as she completed her THIRD Mini Athletics certificate and headed off to big school! 🎓🏃‍♀️💜

What an amazing achievement! 👏

I’m going to miss seeing Anya at our Saturday morning classes in Wincanton. She joined us as a tiny two-year-old in 2024, and it has been such a joy watching her grow in confidence, learn new skills and have so much fun along the way.

Anya is a little ray of sunshine ☀️ — always bringing her wonderful imagination, energy and fun to our sessions. She has been such a special part of our Mini Athletics family.

And it meant the absolute world to me to receive this lovely message from her mum, telling me how much Mini Athletics has meant to Anya:

💬 “She has really loved coming and has learnt so much - not just about throwing and coordination and all the practical things, but about sharing and turn taking and just being social.

"Being an only child we've sometimes worried that she's going to start school on the back foot a little bit, but having you and Mini Athletics as such a big part of her preschool years has really helped her to start school in a really positive way.” ❤️

Mini Athletics is not just about running, jumping, throwing and catching. It’s about confidence, friendships, independence, having a go — and giving little ones a positive start that they can carry with them as they grow. 🌈
