Day 10 ✅ THE FINISH LINE 🎉🎉🎉

Kesh ➡️ Milford, Donegal (77 km) 🚴‍♂️🏁

🎶 Oh the hills of Donegal 🎶 were certainly the final test!
🐕 Even had one last dog sprint along to keep my legs pedaling fast!
🎉 Came home to an unbelievable family welcome. Balloons, bunting, signs, a feast and an incredible personalised cake. 🍰
❤️ What a journey. So deeply grateful for every donation and bit of support along the way.

Cavan Town ➡️ Kesh (83 km) 🚴‍♂️💨

🍳 Fueled up with a proper full Irish breakfast before rolling out.
🐕 Crossed into Northern Ireland and survived my first run-in with a feral dog!
⛰️ Tackled a midway mountain climb that felt endless, but the sun broke through right at the summit.
🌅 Settled into my final B&B with a stunning view overlooking Lower Lough Erne.

One final push tomorrow to Donegal! The end is in sight. 🙌

Mullingar ➡️ Cavan Town (64 km) 🚴‍♂️💨
🌧️ Wet, wet and wet! Made a last minute route change to dodge the worst of the weather.
💨 On the plus side, a glorious tailwind carried me the whole way.
🏨 Splurged on a fancy hotel, had a hot shower and finally feeling human again.
🍺 Time for a well earned pint of Guinness and some proper food!

Two days left to Donegal! Finishing line is in sight.
🙌 Excited to be reunited with Alannah, Emma and family x

Dublin ➡️ Mullingar (84 km) 🚴‍♂️💨
🚌 Left a bustling Dublin packed with buses and city traffic.
🌳 Entered Phoenix Park to enjoy the beautiful parkland treescape.
🛤️ Joined the quiet Royal Canal towpath next to the railway, pure serenity.
🥖 Touring Ireland wouldn't be complete without a petrol station chicken fillet roll!
☁️ Somehow managed to dodge the rain again, but the forecast says my luck runs out tomorrow.

Mullingar reached! Next northbound through the heart of Ireland. 🙌

Conwy ➡️ Holyhead ➡️ Dublin (70 km) 🚴‍♂️💨
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Farewell UK, hello Ireland! 🇮🇪
⛰️ Tough, punchy start to Bangor. Proper up and down and very tiring.
🌾 Rolling Welsh countryside through Anglesey as the terrain smoothed out to Holyhead.
🚢 Stena Plus Lounge on the ferry. Feasted on the all you can eat food and enjoyed well earned rest.
🏠 Generously taken in by friends in Dublin for a proper meal and a warm bed!

At the business end of the trip now. Ireland leg to be tough 💪

George Rockell charity bike ride for TOFS Day 5 ✅

Chester to Conwy 84 km 🚴‍♂️💨
🛣️ Cruised the Millennium Greenway & Wales Coast Path, crossing Hawarden Bridge (River Dee) and tracking the River Clwyd.
🏰 Passed the historic Castell Rhuddlan.
🌊 Reached the Irish Sea!
Flat terrain, but brutal, unrelenting headwinds the rest of the way made it a proper grind. Knackered!
⛺ Glamping in a YHA Conwy bell tent tonight to recover.
🗞️ Shout out to the Irish Daily Mail for their feature.
Another big leg down into North Wales.
Over half way!

🛶 Crossing the Shropshire Union Canal, a flash of nostalgia bringing back memories of living aboard a narrowboat myself.
🚴 Flat terrain and another dry, sunny day making for an effortless cycle.
🏛️ Stopping in Chester to walk the Roman city walls, Amphitheatre and see the famous Eastgate Clock up close, which is said to be the second most photographed clock in the UK after Big Ben!

YHA Chester Trafford Hall tonight, an 18th-century Georgian mansion.

🏛️ Rolling into historical Ludlow first thing and passing the Feathers Hotel, an ornate 1600s Jacobean timbered inn.
⛰️ Continuous rolling climbs through the Shropshire Hills. It certainly lives up to its name.
🏰 Quiet back roads and a short diversion to Wilderhope Manor, a brilliant joint National Trust and YHA site, for lunch.
Another 60 km ticked off!
Bunking up in Shrewsbury tonight.

George Rockell charity bike ride for TOFS Day 2 ✅

St Briavels to Woofferton (82 km)
🏞️ Gorgeous scenery following the River Wye out into Herefordshire.
🏡 Rolling through scenic rural villages and dropping into Ross-on-Wye.
📈 Plenty of ups and downs testing the legs on the hills.
🏨 Bedding down at a service station Travelodge tonight, nothing fancy, but a very welcome rest (and definitely no castle ghosts keeping me awake!).
Feeling good but 82 km was a test!
Bring on Day 3!
