🙏 Thank you for your comments on our recent news.
We completely understand that people would like to know when regular swimming will return, and we really do appreciate everyone’s patience. ❤️

As this is an issue that many lakes are currently experiencing, we are making a significant investment in new technology and treatment to help us manage the water quality going forward. We’ll be sharing more details about this over the coming weeks as the equipment arrives and is installed.

At the moment, we simply cannot give a date for the return of swimming, as the lake needs to be safe before we reopen it. We don’t want to give a date and then have to change it.

What we can reassure everyone of is that swimming will return, we are working hard behind the scenes and investing in the lake for the long term. 💙🌊

We’ll keep everyone updated as we have confirmed information to share. Thank you for bearing with us while we get this right. 🙏

🌊 BIG NEWS — WE’RE INVESTING IN OUR LAKE! 🌊

Your safety is our utmost priority. 💙

After the challenges we’ve faced with blue-green algae this year, we’ve made a major investment in the future of Horseshoe Lake.

Our new lake management system is now on order, and over the coming weeks we’ll be sharing more about what it is, why we’ve invested in it and how it will form part of our ongoing approach to looking after our lake.

We don’t want to simply react when problems occur we’re investing in a longer term approach to help manage our lake and support its water quality.

Our aim is simple: to help keep Horseshoe Lake available for everyone to enjoy, all year round. 🌊💙

🌊 WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

Our lake is at the heart of everything we do. 💙

It’s where people swim, paddle, learn, explore and make memories.

So looking after it isn’t something we take lightly.

This year we’ve had to deal with the challenges that can come with blue-green algae, and we’ve continued to monitor the lake and follow appropriate water quality advice.

But we don’t want to simply react when problems occur.

We want to be proactive.

That’s why we’ve made a significant investment in new technology to help us manage algae and support the long-term health of Horseshoe Lake.

And we’re only just getting started…
