👀 What we’re looking for isn’t always the obvious skill…
When you watch a swimming lesson, it can be easy to focus on the things you can see; how far your child swam, whether they did a skill independently or whether they managed something new.
But there’s so much more that our teachers are looking for during every lesson🤩
We’re noticing how swimmers are listening, how they respond to instructions, whether they’re becoming more independent, how they hold their body in the water and, perhaps most importantly, how their confidence is developing✨
Sometimes progress is swimming further.
Sometimes it’s trying something they were previously unsure of.
Sometimes it’s simply being willing to have another go after something didn’t quite work.
These little things might not always look like a huge achievement from the side of the pool, but to us, they’re all important pieces of the bigger picture🏊♀️💙
Because we’re not just looking at what a swimmer can do, we’re looking at how they’re progressing🥰
And those little changes really do add up to big progress✨
What little change have you noticed in your swimmer recently? 👇
