Sarn FC entertained Llangynwyd Rangers Llangynwyd Rangers on Saturday down Pandy park. Sarn started brightly and looked to take the lead early on but couldn’t find that final touch to score. In the 10th minute Sarn finally took the lead after Rhys Jones whipped a deadly ball into the box for Martin Wetherill to attempt a ‘Bicycle Kick’ which was heading out for a throwing but cannoned into the net off one of the defenders.
Llangynwyd equalised in the 17th minute but shortly after Sarn regained the lead with a fantastic Bergkamp style finish from Cam Alston after captain fantastic Jim Wetherill crossed the ball to him.
Sarn extended their lead in the 29th minute with a nice move started at the back with Andrew Payne playing a long ball from deep to Cam Alston who played it across for AJ Aidan Radford to score!

Half Time Sarn 3-1 Llangynwyd

Sarn scored the 4th goal on 59 minutes when Rhys Jones found Martin Wetherill at the back post to head in another great ball crossed in. Sarn scored the 5th shortly after in the 63rd minute AJ scoring again, to go top goalscorer in the league with 7 for the season after Cam Alston had his shot saved (Cam is on 6 goals and 10 assists for the season) Llangynwyd had their keeper sent off for a last man foul outside the box before they scored a penalty on the 83rd minute. The final action of the game was another red card for one of their players.

League Standings at the start of September.

The 1st team are unbeaten in 3, and have had two games called off.

The second team with lots to improve on after 1 win in 5.
With one or two results slipping away, with new signings coming on board the team looks to start to build and can hopefully pull some results together.
