⚽️ SAWBRIDGEWORTH FC JUNIORS – WEEKLY ROUND UP ⚽️
Another busy weekend for our junior teams, with plenty of effort, determination and some fantastic football across the age groups.
🔴 U10 Reds
A fantastic team performance from the U10 Reds against East Herts Youth.
It didn’t take long for the Reds to make their mark, with Jacob finding the net to give Sawbridgeworth the lead.
East Herts responded strongly and managed to equalise, but the Reds continued to dominate possession and create opportunities.
There was some fantastic one-touch football on display, with excellent combination play helping Town regain control of the game. That pressure eventually paid off, with Jacob in the right place at the right time to tap home his second of the game.
At the back, Oliver produced a fantastic defensive performance, making several important challenges and helping the Reds see the game out.

A great team performance and a well-earned victory for the U10 Reds!
🔴 U10 Robins
A heartbreaking result for the U10 Robins.
The boys found themselves two goals down at half time but showed fantastic character to battle their way back into the game. Ben and Maximus both found the net to bring things level.
Chances came at both ends, but unfortunately the opposition managed to find the winner right at the end. A tough one to take after such a brilliant comeback.
⭐ Player of the Match: Oliver, who put in a fantastic defensive display.
Lots of positives to take from a brilliant second-half performance.
🔴 U11s
A special mention to our two Players of the Match this week, who were both excellent.
🧤 Ray produced some brilliant saves, while Albie put in an excellent defensive display.
Fantastic efforts from both boys and a great contribution to the team!
🔴 U12s
Another unlucky defeat for the U12s, going down 2-1 in an open and entertaining game.
We had chances to score a few more, but their keeper made some excellent saves although, to be fair, ours did too!
After a slightly lethargic start, the boys raised their energy levels and put in a great shift. It just didn’t quite fall our way today.
That’s two really tight games that could easily have gone our way. The victory is coming!
No photo this week, as the boys were understandably a little down after the final whistle. We’ll lift them back up and go again next week!
🔴 U14s
A tough one to take for the U14s this week as they went down 3-1 against Bedwell.
There were some excellent chances created, and Cooper grabbed a great goal, but unfortunately it just wasn’t our day.
The boys will dust themselves down and go again next week.
Player of the Match: Josh
🦅 U15 Girls Falcons
A really challenging afternoon for the Falcons, but one that showed plenty of character, resilience and team spirit.
The girls started the game with a small squad and, unfortunately, an injury meant they were down to 10 players by half time. With two players also brand new to football and another feeling unwell, it was always going to be a difficult afternoon.
Despite the circumstances, the girls kept going and supported one another throughout. Their attitude and determination deserve huge credit, and they showed exactly what being part of a team is all about. ❤️
After the final whistle, the focus was on lifting the girls’ spirits and reminding them that one tough game does not define them.
There will be plenty more opportunities to learn, improve and enjoy their football. We’ll put this one behind us, stick together and come back stronger next week! ⚽️

Whatever the result, our teams continue to work hard, develop and show great character.
