Scarborough Over 50's Walking football

Played in a local tournament in Bridlington against 2 teams from Brid and our fellow Scarborough athletic team. Played 3 league games drawing 1-1 and winning 1-0 the other 2 before playing Scarborough in the final winning 1-0. Well done to all involved and the refs.

A day in York for the start of the pizza league. Special mention to P A Pest Control for sponsoring our new kit. Well done to one of our new members who’s played about 4 training sessions and into the team.
If your thinking about it come along for your first free session always on the look out for players over 50’s onwards to join our merry band whether it’s for social or for tournaments.

What a fantastic week away with great lads and lasses. 50’s runners up in trophy final 60’s undefeated in 10 games. Both keepers were the star players but a stunning tournament thanks to football tours for looking after us all.
Thoughts and prayers from us all to players and families for those lost while away.

Scarborough Barons 65+ Congratulations on being Winners of the Plate Tournament EuroCopa 2026

And we are finally here, as the sun comes up on the opening day of EuroCopa 65+ 2026 Tournament.

A little later this year but our annual Andy Tolley memorial game was held against our friends York Viking over in york. Two teams from each played some brilliantly tight games with York coming out on top this year beating both our teams in the semi's on a sudden death penalty shootout. I would like to thank all the players for giving up their time to remember Andy. Carol Tolley really loved hearing about the report and she and the family would like to say a big thank you to all.

Well new year new start for some. We have had new players joining us already this month of all ages.
We are on the look out for new players for all age categories from our 50's through to our 70's. Tournaments booked already for the year with more to be added during the year or just join for the fun of football.

Wow what a year. Many trophies won tears shed at losses but we look forward to next year and what it brings. May you all have a fabulous Xmas and new year. From all at the family of Scarborough Barons.
