We’ve been waiting for the perfect time to exercise.

When work slows down.
When we have more energy.
When life feels less busy.
When we finally feel motivated.

But somehow… we can spend an hour scrolling through our phones without even noticing the time passing. 📱

And then we tell ourselves we don’t have time to exercise.

That realisation can be uncomfortable.

Because sometimes the problem isn’t that we don’t have time.

It’s that we’ve stopped treating our own health as something that deserves our time.

And ladies, your health deserves a place in your diary.

Not because you need to lose weight.
Not because you need to look younger.
Not because you need to “get your body back.”

But because you deserve to feel strong, capable, confident and independent for as long as possible.

You don’t need the perfect time.

You need to start making yourself part of the plan.

And no… you’re definitely NOT DONE YET. 💜

💥 CORE TRAINING DOESN’T HAVE TO MEAN 100 CRUNCHES 💥

This is a dumbbell dead bug — one of my favourite ways to train the core without endlessly doing sit-ups or crunches.

It looks simple.

It isn’t. 😅

The aim is to keep your ribs down, lower back controlled and pelvis stable while your arms and legs move.

Adding the dumbbell gives your core a little more work to do, because now you’re resisting movement rather than just creating it.

And this is exactly the sort of core strength I want for my midlife women.

Not a six-pack.

Not “flat abs”.

But a strong, stable middle that helps you lift, carry, walk, train and move confidently through everyday life.

💜 Stronger doesn’t have to mean complicated.

And your core is about so much more than how it looks.

Want to learn how to train your body for strength, confidence and the years ahead?

That’s exactly what we do at Not Done Yet. 💪🏻

The difference between my 1:1PT sessions and my Saturday Morning Strength & Support classes…

17/09/2026

1:1 PT or Saturday Strength & Support class… which one is best? 🤔

Well… it depends what YOU need.

There are some differences between my 1:1 Personal Training and my Saturday Strength & Support classes — and I talk through them in this video 👆

💪 1:1 PT is completely bespoke to you.

Your programme is designed around your goals, your body, your experience, your confidence and any limitations or niggles you might have.

We can really focus on progressive overload, gradually increasing the challenge and making use of a wider range of gym equipment. Your programme evolves as you do.

👭 The Saturday Strength & Support class is different.

With a strength training focus, the sessions are lighter weights, higher reps and a slightly faster pace, with a lovely group environment around you.

There’s something quite powerful about training alongside other women who are all there for the same reason — to get stronger, fitter and more capable. ❤️

And here’s the important bit…

As we age, strength training really matters.

Building and maintaining muscle strength supports the things that allow us to stay strong, capable and independent as we get older.

BUT…

The “best” type of training isn’t necessarily the most personalised, the heaviest or the most complicated.

The best one is the one you’ll actually stick to.

Because consistency will always beat the perfect programme that you don’t enjoy or can’t sustain.

So whether that’s 1:1 PT, or a small group session, find something you enjoy.

Find something that feels right for YOU.

And keep showing up.

That’s where the magic happens. 💪❤️

We save money for old age.

Save some muscle too.

We’re encouraged to think about our future financially.

Pensions.
Savings.
Investments.
Making sure we’re comfortable later in life.

But there’s another investment that matters just as much…

Your muscle.

Because getting older isn’t just about how we look.

It’s about being able to get up from the floor.
Carry the shopping.
Lift your suitcase.
Climb the stairs.
Get out of a chair without thinking about it.
Keep your balance.
Stay independent.
And have the strength and confidence to keep doing the things you love.

We naturally lose muscle as we age — but we can do something about it.

Strength training is one of the best investments you can make in your future self.

And you don’t need to lift huge weights, spend hours in the gym or punish yourself with endless cardio.

You just need to start.
Train consistently.
Progress gradually.
And keep showing up.

Don’t just prepare financially for your later years.

Prepare physically too. ❤️

Your future self will thank you.

This is exactly why NDY exists.

I still have a few available consultation slots in October.

If you’d like some help getting stronger and healthier as you age, get in touch.

You’re Not Done Yet,

Sue
