Over the last 6 months, I’ve realised I don’t always need more information.

I need better frameworks.

Because life is going to throw you problems, pressure, uncertainty and decisions you don’t feel ready for.

And when you’re emotional, it’s very easy to react.

These are four frameworks I’ve personally started using to create some distance between what I feel and what I do.

Cost of vs. cost of not.
Mirror & reflection.
80/20.
Pipeline thinking.

They don’t give me all the answers.

They give me context.

They force me to ask better questions, look at the situation from a different angle and make a decision based on something more than how I feel in that moment.

I’m learning that emotional doesn’t mean irrational.

But emotion shouldn’t always get the final say.

Sometimes you just need a framework to give you direction when your head is clouded.

Build the tools you need for the situations you haven’t faced yet.

TRAINING FOR EVERYTHING.
READY FOR ANYTHING.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned over the last 6 months.

Stop being so one-dimensional with your training.

You don’t need to become a runner to become fit.
You don’t need to become a bodybuilder to build muscle.
You don’t need to become a powerlifter to get strong.

You can train everything.

Different movements.
Different volumes.
Different intensities.
Different styles.

Build strength.
Build muscle.
Build power.
Build speed.
Build endurance.

Build a resilient body.

But the body is more than just the physical result.

It’s a reflection of what’s happening underneath.

Every time you expose yourself to something hard, uncomfortable or unfamiliar, you’re not just becoming more physically capable.

You’re becoming more mentally capable.

You’re teaching yourself that you can handle discomfort.

That you can stay composed.

That you can keep going when things get hard.

That you can adapt.

That you can trust yourself.

And eventually, you look at your body and realise:

This is evidence.

Evidence that I’ve become stronger.
Evidence that I’ve become fitter.
Evidence that I’ve developed the capacity to handle more.

Physically.

But more importantly, mentally.

So when the workout appears on the screen and you think, f**k me, this is going to be hard...

You don’t flinch.

Because you’ve trained for hard.

And that resilience doesn’t stay in the gym.

It comes into your work.
Your relationships.
Your family.
Your life.

You can’t control the hand you’re dealt.

But you can prepare yourself for whatever comes your way.

Training everything. Ready for anything.

It’s not just a training principle.

It’s an approach to life.

Stop putting yourself in a box.
Stop limiting yourself by believing there is only one way to become fit, strong or capable.

Train for the unknown.

Build a body that can handle more.

Build a mind that can handle more.

Become the man who is ready for whatever comes next.

And f**king enjoy the process along the way.

In a world of self-development, information overload and “optimal everything” here are 4 things I live by that give me the biggest return.

There’s so much information out there telling us what we should be doing.

I’m a firm believer the above look easy or simple but actually demand more from you as a man than anything else.

I’ve found the biggest returns usually come from the simplest things, the things we already know, but sometimes overcomplicate.

Simple. Free. Nothing groundbreaking.

Done consistently, they’ve probably given me a greater return than most of the things I’ve ever learned.

The last few weeks have been quiet on socials, but fast behind the curtains.

I often find there are periods where I go quiet. Not because there isn’t anything going on, quite the opposite. Sometimes there’s so much going on that it takes my headspace, my attention and my presence to be fully in it.

I’m building something and at times it’s bigger than a post.

The work isn’t always visible.

The progress isn’t always posted.

The wins don’t always make it to a story.

But that doesn’t mean they aren’t happening.

Some of the most important building happens quietly.

A man is given two things he gets to sculpt.

His body and his mind.

Your body is shaped by the training you choose, the food you eat, the standards you hold and the work you’re willing to put in.

Your mind is shaped in much the same way.

Every hard session. Every uncomfortable choice. Every time you do what you said you would do when you didn’t feel like it.

You’re building something.

Strength. Discipline. Resilience. Confidence.

You don’t get to choose the starting material. But you do get to decide what you make of it.

Nothing Given. Everything Earned
