Us coaches Literally couldn't be any prouder of this group. Another fantastic season and our last at 9v9. All season we have struggled on with just 11 players. Turning out some games with no subs. But they have all developed so much this season. Not only as footballers but as people aswell. At times its been hard. In the end they always show that team spirit we have installed. Well done to you all. Thanks again to everyone involved. Let's bring on 11v11 now. Fresh faces to bolster the squad. Bring it on.

So today Rufforth u12s Vipers Played Rawcliffe in the 1/4 final of the FA cup. All the lad's wanted to show support to our Ukrainian player. So collectively made the Ukrainian flag as armbands 🇺🇦.

Another fantastic display of grassroots football by both team's. Close games is what teaches young player's the way to play football. Being tested from the first whistle. Thankfully Rufforth came out on top with a 3-2 win at home. We are now in the hat for the semi finals. Well done to all player's from both team's. It was an absolute pleasure to watch.

Fantastic mornings football. Thanks to Killing Hall for stepping in. Have to say this was probably the best I've ever seen the lads play. Some great football was played by them all. Fantastic setting in Selby towns ground. Huge thankyou to Selby Town for allowing us to play on there pitch. Made it a great occasion for the kids.

Vipers had a fantastic mornings football. We travelled to The Army foundation college in Harrogate. Vipers faced a very good Killing Hall side. It was both teams first ever official 9v9 game. Vipers edged the game 2-1 to take the win. Both teams did there clubs proud. Thanks to Killing Hall for hosting. We look forward to hosting you in the reverse fixture.

What a day yesterday for the Vipers. Winning the trophy event. After a shaky start before Christmas coming out of lockdown. It was a huge turn around coming out of the latest lockdown. Boys came back fitter and more determined then ever to prove a point. They have played some fantastic football against some great teams. With them not losing a single game. It was fitting they bowed out in such a emphatic fashion with an 8-0 home win. Some of the football played has been excellent. We have passed teams of the park. Our energy sees us still going strong in the last minutes of the games. Real never give up attitude. These boys really are a team. Fight, encourage, praise and trust eachother like nothing I've seen before. We couldn't be any prouder of you all. Thanks for all the support over the season from everyone involved. We say it all the time. It only works so well because we all dig in and help out. Well done everyone. A huge well done to the Cobras aswell. Unfortunately they just narrowly missed on winning there league.Roll on next season.

So after some fantastic football being played by both teams away at Dunnington today. Unfortunately the unthinkable happened. 2 players had what can only be described as a coming together and a fall. Something as a parent and coach I had hoped I would never see. Literally right at the end of the game a Dringhouses player suffered at triple fracture to his leg. At the time not knowing the full extent of the injury. All coaches from both teams along with parents pulled together to deal with the situation. Between both teams we had 30 plus other kids some in tears. Parents manged to calm them down and remove them from the scene. In my own sons words as he is crying saying thats my mate. Thankfully we manged to calm Alfie down (his dad did anyway). We all manged to deal with the situation as best as we could. With the emergency services on the phone we followed what they told us to do.This in normal circumstances wouldn't be easy but with covid around and restrictions it was even more testing. Thankfully I had some parents, myself our coaches and Dunningtons coaches all FA fist aid trained. We all pulled through and dealt with it as best we could (personally I thought very well). After over 1hr waiting for the ambulance they took over. I have visited Alfie and he is doing just fine thankfully. He was an absolute trooper and I'm not convinced other kids would of handled it aswell as he did. I certainly wouldn't have done aswell as he did. In my opinion I got lucky today that our age group and Dunningtons had such amazing people around to help us. I really hope I never personally see anything like this ever again. I also hope fellow coaches never have to deal with something like this. What I will say is on a brighter note Alfie had just scored a cracking goal to win the game about 40 seconds before this happend. Get well soon Alfie from us all at Dringhouses. Thankyou to everyone who helped you are all a god send.
