⚽️ U10’s Gala Report ⚽️

The girls made their way across to Bridlington for a fantastic Beach gala. ⛱️

After 6 group games winning 3 and drawing 3 including some brilliant performances including a 3 min Hattrick from Esme, Some unbelievable goals from Flo, Heidi and Fearne. The girls progressed to the quarter finals.

They stormed into a 3-0 lead and progressed to the semi finals.

The girls played ridgeway who hadn’t dropped a point all day. The girls were more than a match for them and Evie pulled off an amazing penalty save to keep it 0-0 and it went to penalties 😬.

Unfortunately it wasn’t to be on pens for the girls today but the way they adapted to the change of surface and most importantly enjoyed their day was lovely to see.

Shoutout to Sienna and Harper who both made some great saves whilst in net and both played really well when they came out.

Afterwards the girls enjoyed a dip in the sea and we had our own private chef cooking up a storm on the BBQ. The girls then got taught a lesson by the dads at rounders to top off an all round fantastic day from start to finish.

Today we headed over to a very well organised gala at Queensbury.

The girls played their absolute hearts out, finishing top of their group and progressing to the final after winning on penalties in the semi-final.

The girls finished runners up after a tough match against NEL Lionesses.

The girls battled hard all day and should be immensely proud of their achievement’s!

Another step forward in their growth as a team and future development. As always we are super proud of them 💪🏼💙

⚽️ Brayton Belles Lionesses at the Huntington Gala 🦁

The Brayton Belles Lionesses put in a fantastic effort at the Huntington Gala today. It was a tough competition, but the girls showed great determination and teamwork throughout the tournament.

We're proud to have reached the Silver Cup Semi-Finals, although it wasn't to be our day this time. Every match was a valuable learning experience, and the team can hold their heads high after giving it their all.

Well done to all the players for their hard work, commitment, and positive attitude. Onwards and upwards, Lionesses! 💙🦁⚽️

Belles U11 Blues Gala Weekend ⚽️⚽️

A fantastic weekend of gala football for the Belles Blues u11s started off with the short journey to Dennison Road for the Malt Shovel Gala. With the girls up against boys teams all day, they knew they were in for some physical battles. The girls finished third in the group, setting up a semi-final with one of the Dunscroft teams. Having been beaten by Dunscroft in the group stages the belles changed tactics to go more direct, which worked and set up a final against the other Dunscroft team. The Belles adopted the same tactics, playing direct and forcing Dunscroft back into their own half. The winner eventually came from Thea, a strong strike too hard for the keeper to handle. This was the only goal of the game and the Belles finished as champions. All the girls, Thea, Evie, Hollie, Jeffy, Lola and Estha played their part but a special mention to Daisy who made some vitals saves in the final.

Today the girls made another short trip to Ulleskelf for their second gala of the weekend. The girls started off playing some fantastic football, scoring 11 goals in the group stages and conceding no goals. A tough win against the Brayton Yellows in the quarter finals and a solitary Sophia goal against Ulleskelf in the semi-finals set up a final against Rothwell. The group game between the two teams was close and so was the final. Unfortunately for the Belles a second gala win over the weekend wasn’t to be after Rothwell scored a good team goal. It was a brilliant effort from the girls all day but they just fell short at the final hurdle. Evie, Sophia, Lacey and Estha all chipped in with goals during the day with Priya and Thea supporting in midfield well. Ella and Isla Clough were solid all day in defence, thwarting the opposition and starting our attacks. Special mention to Isla Jeff, with no recognised goalkeeper today, Isla stepped up in five of the seven games, including the final and did a great job.

A very tiring but action packed weekend for the team who should be proud of their achievements.

⚽️U8s Hunslet Gala Report ⚽️

The girls travelled to a very wet Hunslet this morning for their first ever gala.
From the very start, they faced some tough Division 1 opposition but showed great resilience, determination, and just how talented they are. There were mixed results and some heartbreak with penalties, but their spirit and attitude never wavered.

It was a brilliant experience for the girls, who all worked incredibly hard and played some fantastic football against very strong teams. They proved just how competitive they can be and showed that they are more than capable of holding their own against top opposition.

We are extremely proud of every single player today. Despite the challenging weather conditions, not one of them complained. They gave everything they had, remained brave throughout, and should all be proud of themselves.

Now that the 2025/26 season is complete for all our teams, we'd like to take the time to thank everyone who has helped or supported Brayton Belles over the past campaign. We'd also like to invite you all to come along and celebrate with us at our annual presentation event.

The event will take place on the afternoon of 28th June at Thornhurst Manor, which is just a short 20-minute drive from Selby. This is a ticketed event.

Tickets are priced at £5 and can be purchased through each team's manager or coach. The event is open to all, and we'd love to see absolutely everyone there.

On the day, you can expect to enjoy:

🏆🥇Brayton belles U18 - League Champions 🏆🥇

After what seems the longest of seasons, our U18s finally played their last fixture yesterday away to Horsforth.

With the league already in the bag they travelled to not only to round off their fixtures, but also their grassroots junior journey, with many heading off to university, jobs, open age football, etc.

With the sun glowing and 3G bouncing with heat, they were given the instructions to play on the floor and let the ball do the running and did exactly that, with some wonderful football seeing them come in at half-time 6-0 to the good courtesy of hat-tricks from Greaves and Thompson.

As promised by the manager at Farsley the week previous, at half-time the girls picked their second half positions from a hat.

The second half saw 2 further goals added via Beau Cutting and then a final goal from goalkeeper Lyla Cooper, with their clean sheet preserved due to some excellent saves by midfielder turned shot stopper Tilly Dalby early in the half.

As the season comes to an end I'd just like to thank the players, parents, sponsors and coaches for everything over the past 9-10 years, this team and the 2 that joined to form it at the start of the 25/26 season have been absolutely fantastic over the years.

There have been bags of league titles, cup wins, galas (1 to go) over the years and whilst the football might be done, the memories will last a lifetime and we'll look forwards to seeing many of them progress into open age.
