Thorpe United F.C Under 15’s

Last weekend saw the unveiling of the new Saturday team kit followed by a well deserved 6-0 cup win for these boys. Hopefully a great season ahead. Thanks to Clipper for the fantastic sponsorship support.

Bentley Gala winners for the second year running today. Cracking performances from the lads in some tight games against great opposition. Some last minute injuries meant the team were low on numbers but they played outstanding and came away with even more silverware. We're recruiting for the upcoming U15's Season following the loss of a couple of players. We're a fun friendly group of pals who play at a really good level in the York and District Premier League on a Sunday afternoon and Selby and District Premier League on a Saturday Morning. We're ideally looking for experienced players so if you're moving into year 10 at school after the holidays and fancy a new challenge with a great set of lads please drop Michael Rodger a message or call 07919345061

Fantastic efforts from a real mix up of all our boys today at the Pocklington Gala. Won every game to top the group in the group stages then got pipped by a good performance to be knocked out in the semi finals of the cup competition. Cracking effort boys.

Ulleskelf Gala CHAMPIONS - The reds pipped our best mates the blues in the quarter finals and their great pals from Malt Shovel in the final in a penalty shoot out to secure the trophy. Great work boys a fun day in the sun ⚽️🏆

What a fantastic night - so proud of the boys efforts. Sadly beaten by a good strong York RI side but the boys worked so hard and challenged til the last minute and should be really proud of themselves. We go again next season and it’s going to be great.

Even though we finished a few weeks ago, today concluded the Selby League fixtures for others and we slipped into 5th position in the premier league so 5th out of the whole 29 teams in our age group which is a great achievement and the tightest defence in the league only conceding 21 goals which is unbelievable. A fantastic start to the season but we lost momentum halfway through. We’ll go again next year and hopefully be challenging for the title. - Congratulations also to Crowle for topping the table. Here’s to 2022-23

The date we’ve all been waiting for. As the confidence builds and we go from strength to strength with being undefeated in the last 10 games the exciting date has been announced. Thursday 12th May at the home of York City FC — Thorpe Reds be going head to head with York RI in the FA Cup Final -Times and Ticket info will be publicised as soon as it’s confirmed but pencil the date in your diary we’d love as many of you there as possible to cheer the boys on. A man of the match performance by Billy helped lead the Reds to a 3-1 semi final victory in atrocious conditions v poppleton tigers and set up a final against York RI. Looking forward to it already. Great work boys ⚽️
