A little Halloween fun is coming to TLW…

This October, we’re holding our very first TLW Halloween Dance Camp!

On Friday 30th October, 10:00am - 2:30pm, children can spend the day dancing, having fun with friends and getting into the Halloween spirit.

There’ll be a mix of dance styles and Halloween-themed activities throughout the day…plenty to keep them moving, creating and having fun.

A little more time for you this autumn…

If you’ve been thinking about getting back to ballet, or you’ve always fancied giving it a try, this term is a great time to start.

LEAVERS’ EXIT INTERVIEWS | FELICITY

Our final TLW Leavers’ Exit Interviews is with the wonderful Felicity!

Felicity has been part of TLW since she was just five years old, and what an incredible journey she has had with us.

She has always been an epic performer and has had the most glittering performance career at TLW, taking on some truly memorable roles over the years. From Tinkerbell and the Red Fairy to, most recently, Lola in The Cabaret Diaries, Felicity has an amazing ability to completely own a stage and bring every character she plays to life.

Her training has taken her beyond TLW too. Felicity was both a Royal Ballet Junior Associate and Mid Associate, as well as an Associate with Central School of Ballet, experiences that have been a huge part of her dance journey.

Felicity has also been a brilliant assistant over the years, giving so much back to TLW and inspiring so many of our younger dancers in the classes she has helped with. We know she has been someone many of them have looked up to, both as a dancer and as a role model.

Most recently, she finished her time performing with TLW Company as Dance Captain, a very fitting final role after so many years of being such an important part of TLW.

Now Felicity is heading off on a completely new adventure, studying Psychology at the University of Birmingham.

We are so proud of everything she has achieved and of the wonderful young person she has become. We know she is going to have the most amazing university experience, and we’re pretty sure she’ll find a way to keep dancing along the way!

We will miss Felicity and her glittering presence around TLW so much, but we cannot wait to see where this next chapter takes her!

LEAVERS’ EXIT INTERVIEWS | DAISY

Next up in our TLW Leavers’ Exit Interviews is the wonderful Daisy!

Daisy has been part of TLW since she was just three years old, so it’s incredibly special to look back at the journey she has had with us and everything she has achieved along the way.

From those very first dance classes to becoming the incredible performer she is today, Daisy has packed so much into her years at TLW. She has completed all of her ballet grades through to Grade 8 with Distinction and became our first dancer to take ISTD Advanced 2 Tap, where she achieved an amazing High Distinction.

Alongside her training at TLW, Daisy has also achieved some incredible things further afield, including becoming a World Champion with Tap Attack.

And now another very exciting chapter begins!

Daisy is heading to Wilkes Academy of Performing Arts to continue her professional training. We are so incredibly proud of her and everything she has worked for to reach this point.

Having had Daisy at TLW since she was three, we are certainly going to miss her! It has been such a privilege to watch her grow up in our studios, develop as a dancer and performer, and become such a special part of TLW.

We hope our younger dancers enjoy hearing Daisy’s story and seeing just how much can happen during a journey that starts with one little dance class at three years old.

LEAVERS’ EXIT INTERVIEWS | GABI

Just before a brand-new term begins, we’re looking back and celebrating some of our amazing Leavers who took part in our TLW Exit Interviews.

We wanted to create these interviews to capture a little piece of each dancer’s TLW journey before they leave us. Their favourite memories, the things they’ve learnt along the way, the challenges, the achievements and, of course, a few fun facts too!

We also hope their stories will inspire our younger dancers and show them just how far their own TLW journey could take them.

First up is Gabi!

Gabi joined TLW when she was just five and a half years old, and we have had the absolute privilege of watching her grow into the incredible dancer and young person she is today.

She has achieved so much during her time with us, and this summer has been particularly special. Gabi spent a month in America training at the incredible Juilliard School, achieved a High Distinction in her RAD Advanced 2 ballet exam and, in just a few days, at only 16 years old, she’ll begin the next chapter of her training at Rambert School.

We couldn’t be prouder of everything Gabi has achieved, but even more than that, we are so proud of the dancer and person she has become.

Please share this one with our younger dancers too. Gabi’s journey is a wonderful reminder of where a love of dance, lots of hard work and many years at TLW can lead.
