Shawside Juniors Girls U12 Lionesses played this morning against Heyside U12 Angels Diamonds. A messy start to the game but as soon as the Shawside Girls went 1 nil up from a lovely individual goal from Robyn, it calmed the game down they managed to score 2 more great goals before half time, with Skylar scoring a great volley & Nicola scoring a long distance strike! Second half was a much better performance from the Lionesses playing better football and being more solid. Esme scored just after half time and then Heyside girls responded with a lovely goal. This seemed to push the Lionesses on, with more goals coming from Gabriella on a very impressive debut, along with Esme and Nicola, with the game finishing 7-1... well done girls! Referees Player of the Match went to Sofia🏆 for a strong performance 👏 The girls also got a treat with Jordan Pickford being at the venue for lots getting pictures! 📸
Great performance girls! 💙⚽️💛

On Saturday Shawside Juniors Girls Coach Emma's brother is doing the Tough Mudder challenge for Huntington Disease Association.

It would be lovely if any of our followers could spare a couple of quid to get him to his target of £1500... he is so close!

Good luck on Saturday Jacob Cook and thank you for doing this for our Huntingtons Community ❤️

We may not be crazy enough to be running alongside you, but we will be cheering for you! 💪

Shawside Juniors Girls U15s Lionesses vs Stockport County U15s.
What a game! A fantastic, well-fought contest with the girls going toe to toe with Stockport County from start to finish. It was a game that really could have gone either way, with both teams battling hard, but unfortunately it was Stockport who edged it with a final score of 5-4.
Despite the result, there was so much to be proud of. The girls showed great determination, resilience and belief, continuing to compete right until the final whistle. A performance full of effort and commitment, and plenty of positives to take away.
This week's Player of the Match goes to Angel🏆 with her brilliant all-round performance! She was solid at the back, contributing at both ends of the pitch with a goal and an assist.
Heads up, girls. Keep working hard, keep believing and keep developing together. We're proud of you all! 💙⚽️💛

The Shawside Juniors Girls U13 Lionesses were on great form today... the game started off fairly even, but after 10 mins the Lionessess started getting the ball down, showing passing and movement on the ball. They got a little frustrated in the first half at quite a few missed chances, leaving the game at 0-0 at the end of the first half. After a team talk, they came out firing in all cylinders and were a team determined! They played an incredible half winning 3-0 against against Moston Tigers. Player of the Match went to Molly🏆 who, on the right wing, was a constant threat and played in some great crosses. The referee's Player of the Match went to Sophia for 2 corner assist and leading line well. Massive shoutout 📣 to Harriet who really controlled this game of football! Great result girls, onto the next! 💙⚽️💛

Shawside Juniors Girls U12 Lionesses played this morning against Uppermill FC U12 Stars. The girls started well, creating a few chances but came across a determined goal keeper. The Lionesses managed to score first half goals though from Mary and Esme taking them into HT 2-0. The second half was much better from the girls, creating loads of chances and scoring some good goals from Robyn (2) Nicola (2), Esme & Skylar. Well done Robyn🏆 on Player of the Match with a great striking performance! Well done girls on a 8-0 win! 💙⚽️💛

First game of the season for Shawside juniors u12 lionesses playing against a strong big Reddish Vale u12 Villarettes team! Strong dominate display from the lionesses going 1 nil up in first 30 seconds! Reddish scored from a corner which went down as own goal but we quickly replied before half time going 2-1 up! The second half was a very dominant display & the Shawside girls were strong all round the pitch playing some good football including some great passing out from the back from our super keeper Cleo! We managed to score 2 more goals in the second half & the game ended 4-1 with Nicola scoring all 4 goals & claiming POTM! Well done girls on a strong start to the new season! 💙💛💙💛

The shawside lionesses played there first game of the season this morning with an 8 am kick off. They had to be at their best against a strong, physical Oldham Athletic side. The lionesses dominated the first half creating a hand full of chances, taking the lead before half time through Mabel. The 2nd half was more of an even contest with both sides giving there all. Mabel netted her 2nd goal from a corner, a great start to the season for the girls. potm going to Harriet who was brilliant throughout controlling the game for us. The whole team were so switched on today and up for the physical battles, still playing the way we want moving the ball well across the pitch. Well done girls keep it up. 💙💛💙💛

A disappointing result this morning for the U15s Lionesses against a very good Accrington Stanley team. The Lionesses were very unlucky to go two goals behind from two very dubious offside calls from the referee. They batted back to 2-2 and looked like the game was turning in the Lionesses’ favour when they suffered a bad injury to one of their girls, and then conseeded from the resulting corner. They chose to go for the win, playing 3 at the back, but this didn’t go their way today. Player of the match was Jas🏆 who worked hard all match and topped off her performance with a really well taken finish. Well done Jas!

First game back at it today for the Shawside Juniors U15s Lionesses, coming up against a very strong Bollington United team. Shawside scored early and went on to control the majority of the play, coming out with a comfortable 4-2 win in the end. An amazing start to the season with a dominant display from all the girls. Picking a Player of the Match would have been a tough ask... luckily for us, Ruby came away with all 4 of our goals, scoring a perfect hattrick along the way! Well done girls, and congratulations to Ruby on your amazing start to the season. 💙⚽️💛
