League Cup First Round
Thunder hosted Northfleet Eagles Reds in this League Cup first-round tie and made a strong start, though it took a little time for both sides to find their rhythm. Just four minutes later the lead was doubled when Brody Simpson found the net, this time with Xavier Collier-Kettle providing the assist.

Four minutes later problems in the Thunder box see Richie Fitzpatrick accidently put in his own goal,
Northfleet pulled another one back on the hour mark to make it 6 - 2, and moments later there was a caution for Thunder when Brody Simpson was shown a yellow card on 63 minutes for dissent. The visitors kept pushing but Thunders defence of Oscar Swaby who later played miderfield, Teddy Halliwell, Riley Williams and Ronnie Hunt stood firm, Thunder had the final say when Teddy Halliwell confidently stepped up and converted a penalty on 67 minutes to cap off a 7–2 victory and book their place in the next round of the cup.
