Monday evening saw all three of our U11 teams in action.
U11 Greens made the long journey to Doncaster Town where we started well with the bat, hitting some beautiful shots all around the ground. Highlight and heartache as Raff hit a beautiful flick for 4 to square leg, only for it to fall short of a 6 by centimetres! We bowled and fielded really well, limiting their batters until their final pair, who ramped up the scoring towards the end but couldnβt quite catch our total.
Final score 274/6 vs 263/6 πππ
Our Yellows and Whites both faced strong opposition in Stocksbridge, both at home and away respectively. While both teams were beaten, there were significant improvements from their first games against Stocksbridge 7 weeks ago. More runs scored, more wickets taken, better fielding, fewer wickets lost, a big increase in confidence and a smaller margin in the scores shows just how much these two teams are coming on this season.
Final scores;
Yellows 245/4 vs 295/4 πππ
Whites 215/6 vs 304/2 ππ€π

The action was all at Holmesfield tonight in a match that went right down to the wire!
Freddie scored a magnificent 59 with eight 4s and four 6s ππ
Theodore also reached 36 runs with some beautifully placed shots.
The rest of the team ran well between the stumps taking the score to 144.
Wickets were shared between Elijah, Harvey, Eddie, Belle, Theodore and Yahya with the final wicket a coolly executed run out by Harvey to clinch the win!
A brilliant team effort in the field with every player saving vital runs.
Well done U13s! ππππ

The 2nd XI really put on a awesome team display on Saturday and whilst the result didn't go our way, the 4 points were well deserved. The match also saw Jon and Luc achieve personal best batting figures.

This afternoon two of our U11βs, David and Jacob played for Ben Jessop Sheffield & District Junior Cricket League U11 Representative Squad vs York U11 Representative Squad away at New Earswick Sports Club.
Both played incredibly well, David captained the side incredibly well and Jacob helped steady the batting by creating a partnership and getting some vital runs, and both fielding exceptionally.
They came away with a victory, winning by 4 runs in an incredibly tight game.
Well done boys, the club is very proud of you.
