Its been hard for me to find the words to write this post as anything I’ve tried to put down just doesn’t really reflect how I feel about our team, and in particular this group of women (+ 2 others other not in the main photo).
This weekend 9 of us from our gym took part in the She-Ultra, female only, 50km ultra marathon in Wales.
None of us have ever run or walked that distance before so as you can imagine the training alone leading up to the event has been tough. Hours and hours of running/walking in all weathers whilst also had to managing life responsibilities, work, and everything else thrown at us women. And our poor families have had to fend for themselves most weekends 🙊
On Friday we arrived in Wales to news that the weather wasn’t going to be our friend on race day. Strong gales and rain were predicted and I don’t think any of us were prepared for what was thrown at us on the day - 45 mph wind, rain, hail, sand blown at us, sun, rainbows, you name it we experienced it 😫
Despite all of this and some other technical issues during the race (route changes, and long delays at various stages) everyone finished the race on Saturday, in their own time, & in their own way. It’s no easy feat tackling an ultra marathon and this one was particularly challenging due to the weather but our team of bad ass women showed they had an abundance of resilience, strength, and determination. Alongside all of this the team support along the way has been just incredible 🥰. Throughout this we’ve all needed the support of one another at some point along the way.
To say we are proud is an understatement as, according to statistics only 0.00002 % of the worlds population have completed an ultra marathon so our gang is (as we already know) very, very unique and stronger than I think even they realised.
And to top it all off we also managed to raise over £3000 for 3 local charities that support women 😘
Well done everyone, you’re all amazing ❤️

The Reyt Strong Xmas do 2025
What a night 😊
Our annual Christmas do gets bigger every year as more and more fabulous women have joined our team. This year was our biggest turn out so far. We might be a small gym but we filled Kelu with our feminine energy 😜
Each year we use our party to not only let our hair down but to celebrate our team. You may have noticed that our vibe isn’t actually a social media page filled with pictures of semi-naked before and after pictures, instead we prefer to celebrate fitness, strength, community, and all things that celebrate us women feeling strong, happy and confident.
We give out our annual awards each year at our party to celebrate hard work, determination, and progress in the gym. And then our team nominate the gym member they think brings motivation, fun, positivity, and generally good vibes to each session. This is way of us celebrating good work and of course bro gong is together.
All in all, despite some sore feet and a few headaches the next day the night was brilliant.
And for us as a coaching team it was chance for us to step back and feel proud of the brilliant community we’ve created with our incredible, (Reyt) strong, chatty, inspiring, and sometimes a little crazy, gang of women.
Cheers Reyt Strong gang, you really are the best 🥂

This picture may look like a few women sat in a running shop but it’s much more than that. This is a picture of a large group of fabulous women from our little gym. They’re fabulous because we’ve managed to convince them to sign up to an Ultra marathon next year (the ).
Although there are some casual runners in the group most of us haven’t EVER tackled more than a half-marathon or a 10k, and there’s one or two that haven’t done any type of distance event!
As a gym we love to encourage and inspire our team to take part in events/challenges. Our main focus has always been to show women what they are capable of and how strong they are instead of focusing on how small they can shrink their bodies. This picture may not look much to most people but for us it represents the strength, courage, and community we’ve built in our gym and we couldn’t be prouder.
There’s a lot of training ahead of us over the next few months but we’re excited to be sharing the journey together. And we’ll be showing off as soon as we have completed it 😜
Thank you to for hosting an event for us this evening and prepping us for our big adventure.

Unless you’ve lived in a cave all of your life you know that exercise is really important 😎
It’s simple right? 🤔
The answer for a lot of people is - no, it isn’t that simple because there are lots of barriers that prevent people starting and then sustaining any kind of fitness regime. Finding your thing, your place, your people is a challenge in itself as there are lots of options out there.
We know how difficult it is to get started and how difficult it can be to continue over the longer term, which is why we make a big thing of our team hitting their landmark sessions. Over the last month or so we’ve had loads of celebrations/awards as our gals have hit their 100th (100 Club - status) and 250th (Queen - status). It’s not only a delight for us to prevent the awards but it really does show that if you find your ‘thang’ you’re more likely to stick to it. Many of our team tell me in their initial call that they don’t particularly like exercise and have never stick to anything. We always hope to change how they feel about that so handing out our landmark awards is always a great feeling for us too.
What’s the best form of exercise you can do? Well, despite what science says about the things you need to tick off, the best exercise to start with is one you can enjoy enough to stick to. Find your people, find a place where you are comfortable (ladies you know what I mean here), and find something that makes you feel good. That’s the best advice I can give to get you started. And just because you’ve never stuck to anything doesn’t mean it has to stay that way. I was 40+ years old before I stuck to anything 😆(a post for another day).
To finish this post I want to say congratulations and well done to all of our team that keep turning up on hot days, cold days, early mornings, late nights, when the hormones hit hard, on weeks where we have challenging classes, and on days when you’re stressed and a little tired. We’re just chuffed we’ve got a place that you’ve wanted to come to for 100+/250+/500+ classes 🥰

Incorporating exercise into your life isn’t just about reducing your body size or dragging your ass through a miserable exercise routine. If it is then you’re missing a trick 🙁
Last weekend a few of the Reyt Strong Team headed off to Italy to take part in a half marathon. For two of us it was our first half-marathon experience and one a few years ago we perhaps didn’t see coming.
We actually had the most wonderful time together supporting each other through our training and throughout the event. The friendship, support, laughs, and of course the scenery/food made this experience one we’ll never forget.
Without being fit and strong non of us could’ve contemplated doing this. We wouldn’t have shared a week together (as we only know each other through our gym), and we wouldn’t have the memories of doing something this amazing.
Don’t ever view exercise as miserable, boring, or just for weight loss because if you find the right space for you and you surround yourself with wonderful people, you have the possibility of doing some epic s**t ☺️
Watch this space for our other ad entries this year as we have a few more adventures planned😜

We’ve been quiet recently but we’re still here, working away so we thought we’d give you a little update incase you were worried 😛
We have recently got to the stage where our little gym is full of to the brim! We are a hive of beautiful, strong women that lift weights, chat s**t, and giggle (sometimes even swear) together.
For the time being we will be operating a one out/one in policy 😢 So if you would like to join us in the future get in touch and I’ll add you to our waiting list. As the saying goes ‘if your names not down, you’re not coming in’ 🤩
We are however excited to have now officially become an exclusive club which sounds ‘Reyt Posh’ don’t ya think? 🙊

We’re feeling the Saturday vibes today 🥰
1. It was the final session of our most recent programme (the last session of PB week) so some great work and effort, and of course PB’s happened. There was also a few giggles and also few moans about the class finisher 😮
2. We spent the rest of the morning welcoming 8 new starters into our team - The beginning of a Reyt Strong journey for them and also an exciting time for the rest of the team as we can’t wait to get to know everyone.
We may be a small team in relation to the big gyms out there but we have a great community and a fab bunch of women who train together, lift heavy s**t together, laugh together, and motivate one another. We’re just Reyt Good 😊

We’re kicking off 2025 with some good vibes 😎
Today our little team started a walk/run challenge throughout the month of January. And to motivate us even further we’re doing it to raise some money for a local charity supporting women. So we’re doing some good for ourselves by making sure we move each day while also supporting other women 🥰
I would say it’s a great way to start the year though some may have slightly struggled to get there walking in today due to……well, a few too many shandy’s last night. There may have been a few moans and groans but they all managed day 1 of the challenge (only 30 more days to go!).
