Our retreat guests are not teenagers trying to go pro, and they definitely aren’t wannabe olympic athletes. They are everyday adults, like you and me, in their 20’s, 30s, 40s, 50s (and even 60’s!) who love a challenge and want to try something both physically and mentally rewarding.

We get an incredible mix of people, from shift workers, parents, tradespeople, teachers, office professionals, and creatives. There is no standard “type”, literally everyone fits in here.

The vast majority of the beginners group are starting completely from scratch. You aren’t dropped into a chaotic public park, instead we guide you step by step through the basic physics of skating in a 100% private skatepark.

You aren’t entering a high pressure boot camp. You are joining a relaxed, supportive weekend away that balances structured learning with cosy and comfy accommodation, a supportive community and great food.

A long weekend in nature for skaters of all abilities
3 days and 3 nights. Camp or glamp, BYO options, wild spa and heated massage hut, wild workshops (past has inc; foraging, bushcraft, fermentation, whittling, forest bathing, natural navigation, reiki, wildlife walks etc)

Meet the Boathouse! 🛶

This is the woodlands most secluded and spacious cabin. The coolest part of the Boathouse is that you get to sleep on the roof, which is actually an upturned boat that was once sailing on water over 100 years ago!

Downstairs features a large dining table and seating and great views of the woodland. It has a woodburner stove to keep you toasty at night, and plenty of space to store all your gear too.

Up the ladders at either end of the roof you’ll find two double beds, making this cabin perfect for either;

What’s more is that the Boathouse is tucked away in the woods, still only short walk to the skatepark but far enough to be nice and quiet, AND you get a large private decking space out the front of your cabin to call your own. Watch the stars of an evening or the wildlife in between skate sessions 🌌🦌

Meet the Birdhouse! There are 5 of these cosy A frame structures nestled amongst the pine and ferns and hidden around our private little corner of the forest.

Simple but cosy, they are our most popular accommodation choice here at Bradmoor Woods in Norfolk - each sleeping 2 guests in cosy single beds - we can even zip them together if you’d like a bit more room and your own private space!
